A very solid well organised team performance. Must admit I wasn't over inspired by the line-up but DC came up trumps. On to Chelsea.

Whilst this barely fills one page of a thread (at time of typing) ...over at OTIB....you know the ones who have no interest in BRFC they are on page 3 or 4 of typing about this game :-D Can't imagine it's all gone a bit quiet on the otib. Just had a peak on the hashtwat's forum...apparently they always preferred Scunthorpe over Chelsea as it gives them a better chance of progressing (maybe they have their eye on the Europa league this season?!!!). Plus Chelsea will field a below strength side and it wouldn't be much of a game and Stamford bridge is not actually a very nice ground.
Oh and it'd be a distraction in their quest for points vs Villa.
And they say we are the gift that keeps giving!

I'm starting to feel sorry for them now. They thought we were done and dusted when we were relegated and we came back with back to back promotions. They thought we were finally done and dusted after our first promotion when we lost the Sainsburys appeal, and then the Al-Qadi family took us over. They thought they had a lovely away day to Chelsea and we send them to Scunthorpe. Apparently, some of them were so confident that Cardiff would win that they booked train tickets before the game even kicked off. Source being Tomarse from OTIB, who runs the forum. They really hate us. I love it. |

Quite the opposite...far more talk on there this evening than on here.....and plenty of groans when lines scored ....you thought they would be happy rovers beating their big local rivals  One person didn't understand the concept of all ticket games.....wondering why more people were not there after getting the chelsea draw..:-D... Plenty of criticising the crowd numbers...even though it was one of the higher crowds in the round ! Plenty of mocking the stadium but they don't mock it half as well as we do. TL s yellow should have been red they cried and the yellow against MT was wrong it was a cheating dive..... I assume the lines goal was pretty good as even the country bumpkin s gave it some credit. |
