This might just be a blessing in disguise. Coming up against one of the favourites this early might just give DC a chance to see the gap between us and them and do something about it before the transfer deadline. Results are the key. However, it sounds as though we are playing ok? If we lose yet put in an ok performance, that doesn't highlight any 'gap'. Before the melt later-assuming we lose- let's remember, Bolton were playing 2nd tier whilst we were in 4th with virtually the same team. We lack the clinical finishing needed. Someone to partner Mattee would make a big difference in my opinion.

I am a big DC fan but I think he needs to be careful with his constant changing of formations and players.
Our squad had done really well in getting us this far but against better sides now we need some consistency and I fear that the gap between Div 2 and Div 1 is going to prove a lot bigger.
I remain optimistic for a good season but we need to be careful we don't ask too much of some of these current group of players.

Huge gulf in class.
If Gary Madine had been in Rio we'd have another diving medal.

Not a lot you can do when the away team bring their own referee with them.

We just look off the pace for me. And the fact Bolton are a very physical and strong team, we are losing the battles. Let's hope we get fired up!

Huge gulf in class. If Gary Madine had been in Rio we'd have another diving medal. No there isnt. They have scored a lucky deflection and a phantom free kick. Other than that there isnt much. We have to create some chances though.

We have to create some chances though. They've been in complete control since the first goal. And even before then we had a bit of the ball but created nothing.

They've scored a lucky deflection and a nice free kick but they haven't exactly been all over us. We haven't had a lot of luck with either goal I thought it was nevert a foul. Other than that have they had another shot ? They've obviously got quality but I think we've given a good account of ourselves we've come a long way in a short time. And the booing at the the half time whistle is Dam disgraceful some people need to have a serious word with themselves. Kicking our way second half lets get behind them eh ?

Surely the booing was not aimed at our players?

First ten minutes we were through a few times but for last ditch tackles, we did one of those after and it deflected in. UTG.

So half time is here and DC will need to do something to improve rovers chances of getting something out of the game.
Does he change formation ? Does he change personel ?
Will he see ellis having one high and wide shot and conceding the free kick that led to the goal as being good enough ? Did his overall play counteract those negatives ? Are the midfield three performing effectively ? Will he keep with it or bring on wingers ?

Think DC got this wrong tonight, should have just stuck with 4-4-2. Will be interesting to see how we do play when we do change formations, hopefully, it's not 3-0 by the time we do change.
