Whoever the CB was hand a hand full of shirt. Everyone around me agreed. Where do you stand/sit out of interest? Cider end. You? Same. Just curious as everyone seemed to think it was a foul.

Madine owes Bolton a weeks wages for that performance. No wonder they're in so much debt employing wasters like him.

I thought that was a decent performance against solid defensive away performance. If Bolton are the best in this division I don't think we'll have a problem finishing in the top half. We lost but I thought it was an improvement on the Oxford game.

Christ We are playing most of the players from vanarama and we will lose a few more. Don't panic guys. I'm not surprised and think mid table will be respectable but we have gone from lowering our expectations to thinking we have to win all. Fair play to the optimists but this is a bit different to when we were here last and we didn't do great then. Let's see what WAQ and DC do with these 3-4 players and don't get bent up when we do get beaten. Saying that we ain't lost yet Bolton had a shocking season last time, but are still a step up from almost everyone we've faced in the previous two seasons. Scunthorpe, equally, almost made the playoffs last season and so proved themselves to be a good side. As you say, we can expect to lose against sides like this, but equally we have shown that we have promise with the wins against Cardiff and Oxford, who were expected to be stronger than us in this division. DC knows, I'm sure, if we have the right players after 4 league games and 1 in the FL Cup. If he thinks he can adapt things to cope with this higher level he will. If he decides he must get the mythical 3-4 additions, we might then see how much the new owners are willing to spend. But given that most of us would have been content with a mid-table finish this season, it hasn't been bad so far. Perhaps this is just the customary stuttering start from DC as he shuffles his cards until he gets a winning hand.

Bolton came with a gameplan (much like Bradford under Parkinson) and we played right into their hands for the opening 30-40 mins. Got the ball down and we started to make inroads, but it was a bit late.
Bolton were decent, but I'm not sure they'll do well against solid teams who keep the ball.

DC just said on the radio that he will have 3 or 4 players in before the window closes and 1 player will go out on loan tomorrow.

Bolton fans love The Mem..... We agree on something. Them saying that is like a bald, fat, ugly man with a tiny penis from Bolton winning £10 million on the lotto. Regardless of the money - they will always remain a bald, fat, ugly man with a tiny penis from Bolton!

At the end of the day, they were better than us and will be top 6. HOWEVER, the ref and lino in front of the west enclosure were absolute garbage, rivalling the standard of the conference officials. Decision after decision wrong. First half we had a stonewall penalty turned down, I sit in the south stand and had a perfect view of it. Second half we played much better and leaves my wondering why DC changed a winning side.
Oh well let's just smash Sarfend.

I rarely moan about referees, but that sheister was the pits. What game was he in charge of? It certainly wasnt the one that I was watching.

Gutted we've lost but proud of our players. The way we kept the ball knocked it about one twos the movement was all league 1 standard. These players have come a long way and every Rovers supporter should be proud of them. We'd do alright with this squad and with the new players coming in we could do very well.

Bolton got 2 early goals, the first looked like a bit of a deflection, I sit in the Dribuild. The second was a brilliant free kick, no arguments.
Bolton as a team were a bunch of Arseholes. They niggle, pulled shirt and threw themselves to the ground with loud screams every time they were in a a 50/50 challenge and the idiot referee fell for it every time. Also he didn't allow quick free kicks, making everyone wait until he had got into the position he wanted.
This proved a valuable lesson for us and if DC can lean to deal with these situations then we should become less naive. 3-5-2 we played into their hands. When we went 4-4-2 we gave them something to think about and on another day may have got a point.
Never mind. Lesson learned I hope, and we move on.
