why would getting a drink in London be a problem?
it has more bars than any other city in world....
I didn't say it would be. The pubs around Stamford Bridge in Fulham dont allow away fans. ah, I see, that's really crap.... probably a west London ideology that people from anywhere else must be savages....

Parking at the ground. Anyone know how long Fulham road stays closed after the game?

You could try parkonmydrive.com. I used it for Wembley and it worked great.

Supporters coach. £25 quid , probably take about four hours but my life's so hectic I'm actually looking forward to sitting on my arse with nothing to do for 4 hours.

Straight M4-A4, multi-story in Hammersmith, couple of stops or a walk if it's nice to Earls Court.

Westfield Shopping Centre looks a good shout actually. Just at the end of the M4, can exit the car park at any time, would be less than a tenner no matter how long you are there and only 20 minutes or so on the tube with 1 change.
I have done Wembley a few times and always parked around Hounslow and caught the train from there but parking at the stations during mid week can be a nightmare.

Have used Westfield a few times when day tripping into London so can recommend it. A lot of the parking restrictions in the surrounding districts ease at 5 and some are only 10am-midday apart from the 3 or 4 between Fulham fc and Chelsea on gamedays

Leave your car at Parkway and let the train take the strain. Get a few beers into you and make some new better friends. When you get home , professionally update your CV, you've been doing that sh1tty job too long. Your GF, I don't think she's right for you. Get rid of that fkin Corsa as well. Keep the double denims though , I think they're on the way back. It's not cool to let your Mum cut your hair, no more kitchen trims. Park in Gunnersby if you insist on driving.

Previously I've always parked in the Uxbridge/ Acton Town/ Ruislip areas for matches in the big smoke.

I'm not driving personally, far too big a waste of drinking time that, but am in a car that is going to Hounslow west and then tubing it in.

Used just park £12 for all day on someone's drive way about 1 mile from ground. We did that at Dartford a couple of seasons ago. Bloody brilliant idea.

If people are parking at Westfield then it may be easiest to get the Overground from Shepherds Bush Rail Station. It goes every 15mins and stops at West Brompton (4mins) and Imperial Wharf (7mins). Both of which are a 10min walk from the ground.
Will also save you some money compared to changing at Hammersmith as the circle and district line stations are separate and you would need to pay for 2 journeys.
Just make sure you go to the right station as there are 5 around Shepherds Bush!
