But i do realise, we've got no chance It's not a highbrow, University Challenge style Quiz. But at the same time it's not so easy that everyone scores 100% I've tried covering as many areas as possible to cater for all levels. I even have one question specific to BRFC. The aim is for an average score of between 50-75% On one round of 20, every single team will have an answer for every single question, gauranteed no passes.

Are kids welcome and do they make up part of the 4 person team? Putting the feelers out there to maybe stick a last minute team in but it may be 4 adults plus a 11 year old...

I don't have a problem with that at all. It would be nice for them to meet the players (im told three could be there). You just need to be aware the evening is scheduled to finish at 11pm and, although childish in places, the quiz is aimed squarely at adults. There may also be some adult banter (swearing) between teams.

It seems we have rather an unusual problem. The room has been set for 25 teams of 4, with the possibility of maybe squeezing a couple more in. 9 teams have paid and secured a table via Just Giving. www.justgiving.com/Captain-Gas3I have also reserved tables for 11 more teams (Rogers family, my family and Kirsty Stillwell). Meaning there are only 5-7 tables left. I know Harley and Max are after one table, so that leaves 4-6. Im pretty sure ive seen that many teams say they are interested. So, to conclude, without putting anyone off... if you want to secure a table, pay now, otherwise get there early and hope.

I just want to thank the club for the free room hire, first prize, asking Thatchers for the cans & bottles and for promoting the night. You couldn't have done anything more for me. I also want to thank the Directors and players who gave up their evening to help us. Finally, thank you to everyone who came along and supported the evening. Regardless of scores, I really hope you enjoyed yourselves? I fully realise quizzes arent everyones idea of fun and trying to gauge the question level is very difficult. Too hard, or easy, and everyone gets bored.
Anyway, we believe the total raised during the evening was over £900. Hopefully the exact figure will be verified by St. Peter's Hospice shortly.

Well the NOT everyone's cup of tea Wellie Boys rocked in with 92 pts and 5th place !! (Let's hope our beloved ROVERS can do better on both counts !!! )
Wanted to say it was excellent to see Tom Lockyer, Dan Leadbitter and Dan Gosling there joining teams. Had a good chat with Dan - seems a good lad who really is passionate about his football. He also said how much he appreciates the support he's getting (no prompts from me !).
Some very generous people too ! Well done everyone !

the team that is going to win the wooden spoon has already been created.... and yes.... I am in it None of that defeatest codswallop, team £12 down the pan are in it to win it ;-) Ha ha Phil, GH97 and myself were only talking last night about how some people waste so much time trawling back through old threads and posts after an event just to find a quote to re-post in an effort to try and prove someone wrong or make them look stupid. I'll make an exception for myself here though ;-) 16th or thereabouts (out of 24 anyone? ….-and that includes 2 DNFs! Seriously though, it was a good night for a good cause. Also a good effort from all (special mention for our table!) for the amount of money raised.

Had a good night last night. Our team, Mildenhall's Gloves, had the pleasure of Tom Lockyer assisting us with our answers. A great young man. Good to catch up with other Rovers supporters. To Gregsgas, good to catch up again. Officially I am British, but the accent comes from living in Australia for 53 years. Was back there in July and friends told me I sounded like a Pom. So maybe I have my own accent now, Brisbstolian.
