If there are two clubs slightly adrift at the bottom, I can see Rovers in a mini league of 5 or 6 trying to avoid the next two relegation places. I think Rochdale will also be in this mini league.
If we can beat them and be ahead of them in the table with two games in hand, even at this early part of the season, this will help us have a great advantage as mind games might start to affect them (Rochdale) and it will be a great fillip for us.
With the cheap match tickets offer coming up, we need to try and get as many fairweather fans to the Mem for the Rochdale and Walsall games to cheer us to victory.

We're doomed unless we win. DC out.

The postponed games may cost BRFC money though.....if due to the 2games in hand rovers are in a lower position than they might be (as in bottom four ,rather than mid table) the fact rovers "appear" to be doing badly might stop some people going to games.......need to get the games played and hopefully won sooner rather than later..

The OP does have a point, many came into this league saying we need XX points for safety as the first target.
It's hard to say who will be down there at the end, but any identified weaker sides you have to be looking at 3 points in both games.
Me, I expect 3 points in every game whoever they are, nothing to fear in this league.

Probably the most important game in our history.
Win and nothing will stop us on our march towards European Cup glory.
Lose and we'll be back in Non-League within a couple of years.

The next game is always the most important game of the season unless it's the run in and your mid- table is the way I see it. 3 pts for every win.

this thread would be valid if we were in the bottom 4 after 10-15 games but the league table hasnt taken shape yet so its a bit silly

Wow. Is there some strong bud being smoked around Bristol at the moment?
First of all Chelsea have had to send in their loanee spies to entice Lockyer away and now if we don't win the 5th game of the season we're as good as down.
This week has to be one of the most paranoid in forum hist ... shhhhh what was that ... ?
Thought I heard something.
