Did anyone hear how he got on? Was apparently in the commentary box for yesterday's game for Radio Bristol. Wondered why he took the short cut across the pitch with Ian Holtby before kick off.

Christ, perhaps that explains why DC keeps selecting Easter? I thought he did OK (was watching and listening at the same time). He was more tactically aware than I thought he would be spotting changes as they were made...the love-in with Easter was a bit worrying but we all see different players in different ways even though we all watch the same games. Not sure it's an experiment that will be repeated and not sure why people think it was a Radio Bristol's insistence....if he didn't want to he can just say no.... I think he just wants to experience everything Gas related hence his involvement with the crowd, playing in the fans football match etc etc. As Supergrass posted, he was tactically very aware of what was happening on the pitch. Just shows his level of commitment to to the Gas. What he is is a Banker, Who he is, is a Gashead

Obviously sees in Easter a very talented player who has far too much class to be left on the bench BUT is not really an out and out striker anymore snd is wasted as such. Didn't hear the programme as I was at the match but everything about Wael comes across well and it is great to think that we have an owner who actually understands not only the game but also understands it as a fan which is what he is, We could have done so so much worse.

Wael. sorry Steve, the problem is how do you fit Easter into the team, as he can't play in a 4-4-2 but we don't have the WB's to play the diamond shape, unless DC does the unthinkable and drops LB for Roberts and then plays Leads at RWB but even then Hartley looks like he'll struggle in a 3 man defence.

I thought he sounded good, he clearly knows how to read the game and understands the merits of individual players. It's not an easy thing to do without some training. Fair play Wael for agreeing to do it.

Topper Gas , For me you sacrifice one winger and play Easter just in front of a 3.
Roos
Roberts Lockyer Hartley Brown
Montano Boetang Lines (or Chelsea lad)
Easter
Gaffney (or Harrison) Taylor

Anyone else think it was a bit tinpot to have our owner doing commentary for the local radio station?
Its nice to have an owner and manager who mingles with the fans but this is a bit cringy.

This is all part of our new media consultants plan to improve the nationwide coverage of Bristol Rovers Football Club.
You only got to look at how much our National, Local & Social Media coverage has improved since the takeover in February and long may it continue

I think the amount of media coverage has improved but the quality still has a lot to be desired; you still get lots of spelling mistakes, unprofessional official Twitter account and getting player pictures wrong.
Anyone know if we recruit media peeps from the Bristol Post by any chance?

I personally can look past mistakes but when it represents the club you support and you know they are getting paid to do a sloppy job to the amusement of rival clubs, it leaves me a bit bewildered that's all. Spelling errors and grammar in professional media these days, there is just no excuse for with the technology available.

Roos Roberts Lockyer Hartley Brown Montano Boetang Lines (or Chelsea lad) Easter Gaffney (or Harrison) Taylor Swap BB for Montano and that was vitually Saturday's team, where Sincs had to try and do the job of 2 men to just try and keep Rochdale at bay? That team has 4 in midfield none of which can tackle?

The problem is not the tackling but the ability to organise and mark and close down but even more so the ability to do something attacking so the opponents don't have so much of the ball. Thye trouble with Sinclair charging all over the place is that it leaves far too much space and is very difficult to organise. That team shows three changes from Saturday but the important factor being the back four and not three.
