Gota take more than 1982ltd took to weds last week (307 i think it was)
They have already got their excuses in to prepare for this;
Apparently we will take more because we haven't played them in a long while whereas they visit these famous stadiums all the time dontcha know.

Really don't think it is strange being all ticket. When you're talking up to 1000 travelling, Sheff Utd need to know numbers so they can plan resources, and most importantly the police will want to know so they have what they need in place to ensure the game passes off with minimal issues. I bet if you rock up they will let you in because if not it will be easy enough to go in the home end. We had this strictly all ticket at Swindon last week yet the little ticket office to the left of the away end turnstyles seemed to be doing a bit of business selling the odd ticket here and there.

Quite simple why it is an "ALL TICKET" game. There are no cash turnstiles, entry is by bar coded ticket only. This is for both home and away supporters.

They were desperately trying to find out the ticket prices because if their game was more expensive that would be why. Though that doesn't explain why they get 20,000 at home at championship prices but 11,000 at home in league one at lower prices. Surely the figures would be reverse if it was down to ticket price...... I expect they will probably want to compare our away following to mk dons to their last visit.....but will ignore the fact it was a top of the table clash later in the season.

We pretty much showed how poxy their away support is last season when we both played in Nottingham on successive weekends and still took more than them, and that was in league 2!! Oh well let them do what they want, the fact they are talking about us on a daily basis just shows we are doing well

Are TICKETS on sale for Rovers fans at the ground tomorrow? Is a phone call to BRFC or SUFC [0114 253 7200] not the best way to answer your question?

Like the Swindon police planned for 2800, when only 414 of us turned up to the second game? I take your point, but by that logic all of our away games would be all ticket. I suppose I was looking at it from the fact that there is more than ample seating to accommodate all that are likely to travel and many more.

But tickets are available on the day to home supporters from the ticket office up to kick off. Pretty easy to sell tickets to away fans just the same I would have thought. Still - All ticket it is and I've got mine, so happy days!

Looking forward to this one. It's a home game for me as I can see the stadium from my bedroom window!

Surely there has to be a genuine reason to make a game all ticket for away fans ie fear of trouble/limited capacity in the away end etc not just to help the police with numbers? I'm pretty sure Rovers away game at St Andrews was pay on the gate and 3,000 turned up there w/o any issues. I doubt even Walsall away will be all ticket from past experience.

Tickets for home supporters can be purchased up to kick off time with suitable proof of identity. As I previously posted a quick phone call to them will confirm if the same applies to away supporters.

on the football front - some good news from SUFC website :
Blades v Bristol Rovers - team news
Chris Basham (suspended) and Leon Clarke (foot) are two definite absentees for Tuesday's Bramall Lane clash against Bristol Rovers.
Basham begins a three-match suspension following his sending off at Scunthorpe, whilst Clarke is expected to be sidelined for around four weeks, after a scan discovered a chipped bone in his foot.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Wilder revealed that he hopes defenders Jake Wright (knee) and James Wilson (ankle) will pass late fitness tests to face Darrell Clarke's Gas.
Reece Brown could make his debut depending on the fitness of the aforementioned duo, whilst Caolan Lavery is pushing for his first start as a Blade.
For the visitors, boss Clarke could name an unchanged starting XI following Saturday's win over Port Vale, although Chelsea loanee Jake Clarke-Salter could be drafted into the squad having returned to training following a knee injury.

Couple of mates are blades, I hear what your saying. Although I see us more aligned to Notts County, what with Forest once being the Kings of Europe. Although Red Fred sees it as a Brighton / Whitehawk scenario.
