Every time we change from 4-4-2 our players don't seem to know who they're picking up when we haven't got the ball.

Defence is becoming a major issue. We've been strong the last couple of years. I think this is a bigger step up than many expected.

Why is our top scorer for three consecutive seasons playing out wide and being asked to track their full back whilst we've got a bloke who hasn't scored in ages up front in the middle ??!!!

Yes and the first of those was against the worst side in the division so far playing a terrible formation and the other three were much better performances playing 4-4-2 and now we've gone back to playing another weird formation. |

Formations aren't so important. If it doesn't work, it can be changed. It's just frustrating as we only seem to make these changes when we go one down as opposed to just sticking with a formation that usually works. Still loads of time yet though . |

Problem is why start with a formation that clearly doesn't suit the players you've got wait until you've conceded then change it? |
