The thing I like about football and forums is it's full of different opinions!
Yesterday I thought Rory played well brought players in to the game whilst Ellis wasted numerous opportunities not seeing what was around him but scored.
As I left the ground a followed a coouple of guys out slating Rory for not scoring goals and you guessed it saying what a good job Ellis did!

Can't agree about Leadbitter. Yesterday, yet again he would run the line until the fullback closed him down and then he stopped. Not to mention that his crossing leaves a lot to be desired if he ever gets to the stage where he can put a cross in. Honest, I was a winger once, and we were told to run at the fullback, then change direction at the last second. Leads changes long before he gets to the fullback if at all, thereby giving him time to get up to speed. Prefer James Clarke at the back in a four. when you were a winger who told you to change direction at the last second? was it your primary school teacher? if only all the pro wide players used this amazing new tactic full backs the world over would be totally redundant!!

Thanks Steve, as someone who can't get to games much these days it is appreciated.
What is the general view of Roos? Is he the answer to the goalkeeper question at last?

Other than looking a bit rigid in a one on one against Wallsall that they scored I think he's been really good and I've seen all his games apart from Bradford and the shitfest cup.

Thanks Stuart1974 appreciated. As regards Roos in my opinion he is definitely the answer to our goalkeeper problem. I would say he is confident and controls his area very well coming for most things and generally catching the ball but is also a good puncher. Kicking is about 15 yards further than Mildenhall and his distribution is generally good. His big advantage over Mildenhall is the speed with which he moves. I would have no hesitation in making the move permanent if we could and think he could play in the Championship. If you watch other League 1 keepers then we have done pretty well. Of course this is just my opinion. After the Nicholls disaster DC has found a very good one.

A guy called Kenny Stephens. Don't know if you've heard of him, but............... Used to take us for training a lot back in the day.

I thought Gaffney had a great game. His ball winning, hold-up and laying off was excellent. However, I noticed yesterday that he moves up the field and in to the area but suddenly he seems reluctant (or slow) to attack the ball inside the 6 yard box. We had a couple of attacks coming in from the wing where I felt he should have arrived earlier or looked more keen to get in to the 6 yard box.

Lockyer 6.5 Didn't do much wrong although there is still something missing from last season or maybe it is just we are playing against better teams . As a defending team we are struggling a bit from the off but maybe that is as much down to the midfield as the defence. Thanks for the write up. Thought Lockyer was caught ball watching for their goal. Quite evident from the highlights. Though tbf lines is as much to blame for not going with the runner.

I wouldn't get too caught up in assigning blame for their goal. It was a very lucky deflected ball which could have gone literally anywhere, but went straight to the oncoming striker's feet.
