Best stadium in this Division by a mile Too bad it's only 1/4 full on matchdays Yeah I'd rather have 8000 fans in a 12000 capacity sh** hole than 8000 fans in a shiny soulless 30,000 all seater any day. Much better atmosphere and much better match day experience all round. If we do build the UWE I hope we don't go bigger than the 21,000 originally planned at first. I could handle a half full UWE in league 1 or the championship but a quarter full would be crap and my enjoyment of watching Rovers wouldn't be a patch on what it is now. The Bristol shitster sport franchise have built that big stand but are yet to get more than 21,000 which was what the old capacity was anyway and from what I've heard the atmosphere is as crap as it ever was and they're top six in the championship ! Yes I know we're louder than them even with smaller crowds but that might change if we get carried away and build a massive super stadium like MK have. 21,000 capacity and 2 thirds full in the championship with DC still in charge in 4 years time is the stuff realistic dreams are made of in my mind. Then if in the future we're selling out consistently make it bigger by all means but it seems MK did that without getting the big crowds ?! I saw the Port vale game on telly the other night and it looked like a friendly , utter sh** .

The Cardiff City stadium looked a bit sparse on Friday having said that it was the sh** playing a bad night all round for Mr Lansdowns 1982 Franchise with the Soccer & Rugby departments both getting done!!😂

You obviously haven't a clue what the word 'franchise' actually means but that's OK. And away support numbers? A debate we'll always win "Franchise noun An authorization granted by a government or company to an individual or group enabling them to carry out specified commercial activities, for example acting as an agent for a company's products". Bristol Sport have given authority to various franchises to operate under their banner. Bristol Sports Rugby. Bristol Sports ladies team. Bristol Sports soccer. All operating under the overarching main group. You even all share the same corporate hashtags. You are a franchise and clearly you sir, are the clueless one. Fair enough, so how is that different to Bristol Rovers FC operating under the Dwane Sports Ltd banner? Although this link shows the real difference between Lansdown and Wael.... www.bristolpost.co.uk/bristol-rich-list-2016-revealed-who-is-worth-the-most-money-this-year/story-29825616-detail/story.html

Not sure how the Bristol rich list is made up when Lansdown resides in the CI and Wael in London nor where the figure of £400m came from for the Al-Q's, just a wild guess?

Personally I could not care a toss about something I already knew. Perhaps you can post a link to the monies each have lost in their ownership of a football club. I would suggest Mr Lansdown would be a clear winner in that too.

DS Ltd own BRFC1883 who own BRFC there's no other clubs involved with DS ltd as far as Gasheads are concerned, so how's it a franchise rather than simple club ownership? Dwane Sports owns one football club - Bristol Rovers Bristol Sports owns one football club - Bristol City Yet you think we're a franchise football club and you aren't? So, let's assume for one moment that Dwane Sports purchased a badminton team - that would instantly make you a plastic franchise club would it?! No, didn't think so. Lansdown rescued Bristol Rugby Club and gave it a proper base and a proper stadium in which to play, that's all. Bristol City FC has played at Ashton Gate for 112 years - how does that constitute a 'plastic franchise club'??!!

It doesnt show which man is obviously the better man at running a football club. Compare what has been successful at Rovers under Waels short reign with little financial outlay to Lansdownes millions spent since he took over at City. Apart from the revamped ground City are in no better position. Rovers? You don't need me to point the progress out. From the gutter to two successive promotions and onwards we go!

As soon as Wael buys a badminton team you can come over here and call us a plastic franchise. Until then, naff off and wallow in your franchisedom with your own wonderful fanbase over on OTIB.

We saved Bristol Rugby or they wouldn't have been around to join the Bristol sport franchise. As an aside i hear your fans were slagging each other off again at QPR

Please don't forget Bristol City football club went bust in 1982, so Bristol City 1982 Ltd(correct name) have played at Ashton Gate for 34 years.

That was painful. Took about 20 minutes to scroll through the BP page and all it revealed is how scant the evidence for the actual wealth of the Al Qadi family. At least with SL there was some indication of where they got the figures from. On Wael, we are still none the wiser whether billionaire or mere hundred millionaire, but at least we're enjoying the ride under his leadership.
On the future, many still think there is more to come as a result of DoG company being revealed in the Panama Papers. If only the Bristol Post could do some real investigative journalism!

Funnily enough, the Post's disclaimer did say we don't know about any Panama accounts!
