Pantsdown worth £1.4 billion. Staggering sums of money shoveled into the club. Yet they have barely progressed. That's what I've said all along! People on here,and city fans online have been saying how far we are behind them - talking like they are Man utd and we're are FC UTD.. Fact is they have a tarted up Ashton gate and made it a premiership venue,but we are on the verge of building the UWE also and will be in there in a few seasons,which I suggest could be better than the Gate. Fair play,they have had played the best part of a decade (apart from 2 years) in the championship but that's it! - We have gone through our worst period in our history during the said time, and have since had our one of our greatest over the past two years. They've not grown as a football club,they were playing in league one two seasons ago.The "gap" that they like to get off on by about bragging about is due to how poorly out club was run club pre May 2014, rather than any growth by BCFC. Landsown has thrown mega money at them and has got nothing but a shiny new Ashton gate for it. I'm not interested in what they do as with Wael,DC and how we are now run we will hit hights that bristol football has never seen before.....the question is will they?

I think the reason city fans are taking the p**s is because when we thought he was a billionaire all the mind the cash and we are the richest in Bristol was all over facebook If you're gonna pretend to be Gas you're probably better off making a few posts about Rovers, and the football, rather than every single post you make, giving the '82er point of view. (Anyone can look up your activity on the forum, to see for themselves.) Try just a few mindless puns, about cocks, or something, and maybe the odd 'Yeessssssssssssss!!!1!!' when we score in a matchday thread, or something like that. It's not hard. Heh heh. You said it's not hard. Yeeeeessss!

Obviously none of this makes our present situation better than it is.... two years behind them. Let's just concentrate on progression and we will be fine. Happy to correct that for you

We buy the print version so I had a look at their supplement. The caveats are rather exhaustive and basically boils down to 'this is just a bit of fun, we haven't got a clue as private bank accounts are just that'.
How comparable is it? Is it cash rich or asset rich? As the al-Qadis are overseas based does it account for fluctuations in the £?
SL is using his own wealth to fund the stadium, fair play for that. Wael seems to be using other people's wealth to fund ours. After all, it's not what you know......
In my mind, neither club can justify paying wages that the Prem and ex-Prem teams appear to as that is going to be based on revenue. SL could buy a player for £10m, but he isn't yet prepared to sanction the £10,000s per week associated wages that a player would expect. With that in mind, relative wealth of the owners is irrelevant.

Just a very nice modest man who loves football, we are very lucky to have him and his family. UTG Agree 100%, it's great to have Wael at our club. He strikes me as a man who gets things done, and we are beginning to look like a very professional outfit. It is obvious , that like us he cares deeply about football. 45 years a gashead and this is the first time ever that I feel our future is secure , for the next generation of Rovers supporters. Even though I can't be there It makes me incredibly happy. Undoubtedly there will be highs and lows on our journey ahead. But our unbreakable loyalty (a common trait amongst gasheads) will always shine through. Rovers till I die.

Just saw this post from one of the OTIB resident plankards Peter O Hanraha-hanrahan;
"You're right about not being noisy...I lived in Horfield for several years and you couldn't tell when they were home, ******* silent every home game which was a bit of a surprise considering how much they've always blown their own trumpet about making an atmosphere. When I was a young kid in Bedminster you could always hear the crowd at the Gate. As for the length of this thread, it's only this big due to the ammunition they've given us over the last few years, in particular the hilarious year in the '5th division'. Comedy gold, such a funny little football club. I'll miss them when they up sticks like a 'franchise' club and move out of Bristol again"
I have a mate living on Eden Grove and he can hear us all the time. I'm glad our 2 successive promotions have ensured longevity of their embarrassing water-taking thread!! Comedy gold for them i'm sure!

I suspect WAQ has slightly less than others due to the fact he has paid his taxes fairly, unlike some..........
