6 hour round trip?
No. Not good for a gas invasion.

6 hour round trip? No. Not good for a gas invasion. Good numbers at Oldham yesterday - similar for Chesterfield probably.

Think I'll go to this as have friends in nearby Nottingham. Just to warn anyone Chesterfield is a bit bleak and small - famous for it's crooked church spire.

Some good pubs within minutes of the ground, and a decent if small stadium. Why talk down the idea of going? If we have to play on a windswept island in a force 10 gale I would still encourage everyone to go. This is our team, and it's our time. Get up there and let's get where we all want to be.
Mind you, lets all get to Millwall first and keep the run going ( assuming it is played of course)

We aint getting that at Chesterfield, hence my comments.

Good pubs in Chesterfield - try the Donkey Derby - one of the flaming grill chain of pubs - VG food and cheap! Beer ok also.
About 300 yards from the ground I seem to remember.............
Ground is a nice small one.

Ground in easy to get to location, just off the main road to Sheffield and an easy duel carriageway trip in from the M1.Adjacent to the town centre and plenty of watering holes nearby.

I took my two non-Gas workmates to Oldham yesterday, they really enjoyed it so we'll all be at Chesterfield. Usually good atmosphere there with a reasonable crowd in a smallish stadium

We took 1,602 to Chesterfield last time we played them, some great pre match pubs too, oh and we won 0-2....

It was in April just after they'd won the title, so hardly comparable. What is comparable is last tues when both sets of fans travelled similar distances (mk dons and qpr) and took exactly the same number of fans.

As a percentage of home support that go away they aren't much above conference level are they?

They were in a play-off position. We were not. They are in a higher division, so would be expected to take more fans away. Ooooops, and of course, they are massive. By the way, I am not biased: I have a chip on both shoulders: I hate Bristol City AND I hate Bristol City 1982. if only I had a third shoulder to hate the Bristol Sport franchise as equally
