Roos 6 couple of saves first half not much else to do Leadbitter 7 good defensively and got forward when he could Lockyer 8 very good without a big striker to mark and the ball mostly on the deck Clarke-Salter 7.5 defended well Brown 6 not at his best in that formation imo O. Clarke 5 ok nothing really good nothing really bad Sinclair 6 ran and ran poor finishing but not his strong point Boateng 6 unlucky to be subbed imo Colkett 4 couldn't get in the game Easter 6 better when played behind the front two Harrison 5 put himself about better but poor hold up play and bringing others into the game Subs: Lines 7 better with him on the pitch Taylor 6 quiet but always likely to score and he can pass Gaffney 7 held the ball up and brought others into the game,our play in the final third is much better with him playing Crowd 6 cold and not much to inspire them Ref 6 not bad MK Dons 7 seen them twice now,very good passing team but no end product today |

Roos 7 two important saves otherwise untested
Leadbitter 7.5 Dan is in excellent form both defending and attacking wise (apart from last week)
Lockyer 7.5 Was immense today he is coming to terms with League 1
Salter-Clarke 7.5 Very composed on the ball
Brown 7 His usual steady game
Boateng 5 Very disappointing, he is the type of player that needs to play weekly.
Sinclair 8 MOM was more of a threat going forward today and was a constant menace
Clarke 6.5 Anonymous in the first half better second
Harrison 5 Out of form and offers nothing in my opinion
Easter 6.5 Was better when the subs came on as behind the front two is his best position
Colkett 6 Not his best performance was a bit of a luxury we could not afford
DC 7 Can see what he was trying to do following the cup game but it did not work first half
MK 6 Neat passing team but with not much threat from the strikers
Ref 5 Lost it late on, should have gave a pen for handball at the end
Crowd 5 Eerily quiet for most the game

Gaffney. 6 had a good chance but chose to try another trick caused problems but gives away too many free kicks
Taylor 5 no real impact

A Good 0 -0 game against a clever team. They are in a false position. Good to see our defence look very solid - would like to see that same back 4 on Tuesday. Hopefully with Gaffney and Taylor starting we'll be much more of a threat from the off.

Roos - 7 Some good saves but nothing you wouldn't expect him to make. Kicking was good.
Leadbitter - 7 decent performance and starting to get back to his best
Lockyer - 8 as above. Calm and composed
Clarke-Salter - 8.5 MOTM. Read the play excellently and was a rock
Brown - 6 quiet and had a poor first half but solid as ever second half
O. Clarke - 6 anonymous first half, better second
Sinclair - 8 if only he could add goals and assists. Was everywhere again today though and battled like no other on that pitch
Boateng - 6.5 glimpses of brilliance and strength but didn't impose himself enough
Colkett - 4 never got into the game
Easter - 6 did OK.
Harrison 3 not a good game and missed a few chances. Can't hold the ball up and is not in the same league as gaffers
Subs: Lines 7.5 the lad is class and this season has been unreal. Biggest miss out of the triI who came on and "should've started" for me. Drives at defences and good delivery.
Taylor - 5 quiet
Gaffney - 7 showing some decent for again and is a real talent. Could be some player but will never be a 20 goal a season man. He brings so much to the team though and is streets ahead of ellis
Crowd - 8 good crowd and decent noise when there was reason to cheer.
Ref - 0 let everything go. Could've had 2 penalties, inconsistent with his stopping the game for head injuries and failed to book their number 16.
MK Dons - 5 played some nice football but we let them play a bit and they ruined it by showing their lack of class at the end of the match. Although Agard got more stick for a sheeed that I've heard in a while and to be fair to him didn't react.

Roos 7 Smart saves first half never troubled second half.
Leadbitter 7 got forward when he could, defended well.

Brown 7 good going forward.
O. Clarke 6 steady game did his bit.
Sinclair 8 MOTM all action every blade of grass performance.
Boateng 7 good game unlucky to be subbed.
Colkett 4 went missing.
Easter 5 no moments of real quality.
Harrison 4 again found wanting at this level.
Subs: Lines 7 great impact drove us forward.
Taylor 5 no real impact.
Gaffney 7 his control and ball retention was quality.
Crowd 4 average
Ref 7 let the game flow, lost the game a little at the business end.
MK Dons 6 very well drilled and easy on the eye. They lacked cutting edge.

Taylor 6.5 Always a threat, make opposition nervous

DC 6 If his plan was to start a team that would hold on till half time, and then win the game with subs it nearly worked

O. Clarke 5 O/K in parts, not brilliant in others . F/H tactics did him no favours.
Sinclair 6.5 Does not give up, and works his socks off,
Boateng 5 Steady game, without doing much
Colkett 4 Never in the game
Easter 5.5 F/H tactics did not suit him, S/H better
Harrison 4 Tried hard enough but did not do anything to warrant a starting place
Subs: Lines 7 Brought the class that was missing
Taylor 6 MK must have been pleased when they saw the team sheet
Gaffney 8 Would have been MoM if he was on from the start, still my MoM
Crowd 5 Very quite, can't blame them for the starting lineup would have made any crowd quite, bit better S/H
DC 3 Got it wrong with all the changes this time

MK Dons 6 Better than their position suggests.Albeit we let them have far to much possession especially in the FH. I bet they could not believe our starting lineup

Not at all apart from running around a lot his passing is poor and his first instinct is to go backward and in fact several times when we did make quick breaks out of defence as soon as the ball reached him the momentum stopped dead and the ball went backwards his shooting when he had 3 chances was woeful in fact I think the mark I gave him was generous.you are perfectly entitled to your opinion as am I so I mark as I see it not as others think I should |

O. Clarke 6 Another who had a steady game, made some good challenges and unlucky with the header
Sinclair 7 Worked hard, lacks quality but no doubting his commitment. I would still rather see Mansell in there with Lines
Boateng 6 Started strong but faded and right decision to take him off
Colkett 4 Has flicks but is proving to be ineffective in the hole and a passenger which leaves us light in midfield. Doesn't look as fit as a typical DC player, doesn't press, doesn't tackle and allows the opposition to play through him too easily.
Easter 7 Great energy/work rate, excellent when in the hole, gave us more than Colkett, quicker, stronger and tackles
Harrison 5 Not a good day at the office
Subs:
Lines 8 Changed the game, a class act and we were a different team after substitutions
Taylor 6 Looked dangerous but does need to increase his work rate when out of possession
Gaffney 8 Getting back to his best, outstanding work rate, win a lot of ball and joins play up well
Crowd 6 Quiet
Ref 6 Decent game
MK Dons 7 Thought they played good football but didn't create too many chances

MK Dons 6. Good side but they lack a striker who can shoot on tsrget
DC got this wrong both in team selection and shape, we were lucky to get a draw. His tactic of playing for a 0-0 in the first half and then going for it in the second is to be honest rubbish. We should look to dominate teams at home and right from the kick off. Teams now know this and all they have to do is score first half and defend second.

You can't play a diamond against a team that has the best fullbacks in the league. I don't think Lewington and Baldock have ever had such an easy match- no defending to do all game they played more as wingers.
