Coventry were very poor but still had to be beaten, get back to a formation that works, ie the one that won us promotion. Puddy still very shaky, think once we sign a decent keeper the defence will look much more solid. Midfield much better without sinclair, and more forward balls played. Lyle taylor got sent off for wimbledon today so will be missing Saturday, great chance for another result.

Decent performance all round today.
Personally thought Tommy Locks looked back to his old best, getting in front of attackers and also getting a foot in where needed, hartley did a lot of ordering about and directing of the defence which is why I think he'd be a better captain.
Leads had a good solid game against their best player and didn't do anything wrong.
Can't understand the stick Ollie Clarke gets as he always puts in an 100% shift, never anything less than that and is also young and constantly improving, really think he can be an important player for us going forward.
Bodin looked like the player that he was last year and we all know he can be given the chance, hopefully he'll be given a good run now.
Both Gaffers and Tayls really didn't look at the races for me, yet we still scored 4 goals.
Overall a good team performance, even though Coventry were poor and we still had a few parts in the game where we could've come unstuck, and I really hope DC goes with the same selection on Saturday, only 5 points off the play offs and another 3 points closer to the sh**e, onwards and upwards we go. UTG!!!
Edit : forgot to say about Puddy, he made a couple of great saves but also at the same time looked quite dodgy with some decisions and I still think we need a new 'keeper.
Double Edit : 1000th post!

Coventry @ 3/1 is a ridiculous price It was, they should've been 30/1 My point entirely ☺️

Unfortunately I left my long-distance glasses in the car, so anything beyond the half-way line was a bit of a blur. Had a good view of Billy Bob's goals though! Heartened to see the return of the team spirit which we had grown used to, fair play to Matty T for immediately conceding the penalty kick to BB. Onwards and upwards!

Problem is OC's never looked good enough, but he now has the perfect opportunity to prove the doubters wrong. B0llocks. By any chance are you related to OC or just on your usual wind up? Fair play to OC today but if we want to progress we need better players than OC, or for OC to progress quicker. A decent shift put in by most players this afternoon but but Gaffers had a shocker, although Ellis is looking good again.

Good performance today. Defending still a bit ropey but having width made all the difference.
Puddy did fine bar one dodgy moment.
So glad to see BB back in the goals. It's quite clear that shaving his head was the wrong decision and now his hair's back his goals are back.
MT still looks a bit disinterested but various an unbelievable save he would have had a goal today.
Good to see we took full advantage of a poor opposition as normally we would bend over and take one from whatever sh**e turns up.

Great all round show today against a very poor opposition. Really kept our shape well for a change. Defence looked mostly tight and gave us the confidence to push up. Wingers were awesome and really suited the 2 in the middle and the two ahead of them as well as getting best out of Leds and brown. Even worked when LL came on. And that was the best I've seen Ellis for a while. Happy bloody Christmas

I'm so glad we went back to 4-4-2 today I've been saying all season we'll only see the best of billy if he gets a run he's our best player in terms of technical ability. I also apologise for boring everyone with my moaning sbout the diamond formation I've gone on and on about it these last few weeks but it's only because I care and it's only because I know this squad and their strengths and weaknesses, it's been such a frustrating time for me and others who could see how awful that narrow formation is and how it stifles our best players and options. Today we had the screen for lines in Clarke the width with Bodin and Montano the battling and strength of Gaf and that bit of first touch in Taylor. The balance was perfect and we played well I just hope DC doesn't change the formation for our next game. UTG merry Christmas !! Thank f**k the diamond has gone. Fully agree as it was woeful watching OC and Co trying to get crosses in. I hope we never see it again.

its striking that 8 of our conference squad started today and only 1 of this seasons 8 signings featured in the game, which is a damning reflection of our recruitment this season imo. 2nd half of was enjoyable especially today with 2 crackers from bodin and some good performances around the pitch and a great ding dong between leadbitter and there left winger. no sinclair, easter or boateng today, wonder if thats significant for there futures at the club or simply routine reasons why they didnt feature?

Shocking today Personally opinion he did, witnessed by the fact Puddy blamed him for the goal, DC then promptly subbed him. We looked a far better team with Ellis upfront and he actually managed a decent effort on target but we all know if Ellis starts V the Dons he be back looking lost again.

So is Hartley a "damning reflection" of our summer recruitment, or do we just ignore he was signed in the summer to further your argument?

And shot on target To carry on like that if he starts on Saturday, then continue in the same vain until May! The worry is that he's only stepped up his game as he's worried DC wants him loaned out next month.
