Just had a look on Amazon, and am a bit befuddled by all the different kodi boxes available. Obviously I'd like to do this as cheaply as possible, but don't want to end up with a rubbish box - any recommendations from those ITK?? Android TV Box Fully Loaded 4K Ultra HD Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS TV Box Tonbux® T11 Amlogic S905X Quad Core Streaming Media Player DDR3 WiFi This is a good one and on the lower end price wise I've sorted a lot of people out with the sportsmania/kodi. All you need is a amazon firestick and you can put kodi on it. Which i been streaming my sports in HD with no problems for a long time.

I've used sportsmania for over a year now and I've got to say it's a bargain!
The streams for all channels are normally spot on and if you do occasionally get one that's being temperamental, there's plenty of others backups and alternatives that you can change straight to that work fine.
They had a problem recently where it crashed during PPV boxing for around an hour and offered everyone a months free extra sub so the customer service is honest as well.
Highly recommended!

Kodi is brilliant for watching any tv shows / movies, but as you said ive always found it a nightmare getting good sports streams, or ones that last anyway! I wouldnt say kodi is simple to use as addons (apps) often go down or have broken links but watching a few YouTube vids usually sorts it! I'd be a bit hesitant to pay £50 up front, how long you had it? Any issues at all? I've had sportsmania a week but my mates a year, you don't have to Sign up for a year as there's other options as in a day/week/month/3 months etc...I signed up for 3 months 3 months £17.99, 6 months £26 are you mad bro?!

Set up most of my mates /family with this now.

Signed up to sportsmania over a year ago it is top notch and you get the ppv boxing events included for your £1 per week.Purchased an android box back in the spring an mxq pro and havent looked back. Kodi is one of the best inventions ever as it gave us exodus an app that allows you to watch any tv show or movie ever made for free.

I think I'm going to have to go down this route as my Sky 'arrangement' will probably not last much longer as Sky are moving to connect all the boxes in a house via the Router. I already have an Amazon TV box, but I haven't had much success with Kodi on this.....so.....
What Android boxes to you use, or what do you recommend? What issues will I get living in Germany? Will I still come across IP problems or should I get a Proxy?

As soon as I had sportsmania I cancelled my skysports and movies saving a fortune per year.Obviously kept the sky family package as you get your normal tv and catch up plus the internet. As for will it work in Germany I know sportsmania doesn`t work in Portugal but I got it working through cyber ghost.Kodi should work fine in Germany but I would advise you look into it before taking the plunge. I have purchased about 8 of these boxes for family and friends from this guy and they are flawless www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2017-MXQ-Pro-M8S-Quad-Core-Android-5-1-Lollipop-TV-Box-Fully-Loaded-KODI-XBMC-UK-/221766861627?hash=item33a255c33b:g:ySkAAOSwYIxYBd0tlink

Tilly before you spend cash i have an mxq box you can borrow for a few weeks if you want to see what its like and to have a play, don't worry about breaking the software as it's easily reloadable
