I know you're a WUM and a bit of a knob GGMI, but I'm just surfing the web and listing what I find. As long as it making you giggle I see no reason for you to associate me with that vile newspaper. Is that really necessary? Harsh, but true.

Who was the guy who was posting up all the signings in our league over the summer? That was a good thread I was hoping for something similar in this window

The transfer window is only three days old and Bristol Rovers striker Matty Taylor has already been linked with moves to almost half of the clubs in the Championship. When 'EFL Taib' last night broke a 'world exclusive' suggesting that Bristol City had tabled an 'eight-figure sum' to prise the 18-goal striker away from the Memorial Stadium they became the tenth club to be mentioned (on twitter, admittedly) in the same sentence as Taylor since January 1.
Should City whack upwards of £10million on the table it would certainly be a blow to Leeds United and Wolves, who, according to TLS Wolves are locked in a tug-of-war over the striker.
'Negotiations are on-going', but, don't worry, as TLS goes on to point out: 'money talks for Bristol Rovers' – completely disregarding the likelihood that Taylor is likely to have a modest release clause in the contract he signed last summer. He would have been mad to sign up without one wouldn't he?
That would become irrelevant, however, if Taylor's future turned into a bidding war. Good news then that QPR, Norwich, Ipswich Town and Cardiff are also interested in the striker, according to 'Transfer News'.
I'm sure someone else mentioned Brighton and Birmingham City, although I can't remember who, while EFL Transfer News have suggested Blackburn Rovers are also interested - but have at least added a caveat suggesting a 'deal is unlikely'.
At time of writing (Tuesday night), Rovers had yet to receive any inquiries for their talismanic marksman and nor does Darrell Clarke want to entertain any. But there is bound to be, at the very least, some interest as the days and weeks of the window unfolds.
Clubs will miss out on their top targets and levels of desperation will increase as the final deadline appears. A club that is not in trouble right now could be right in the mire with a few bad results before the end of the month.
Predatory goal scorers are hard to come by and Taylor has proved his ability to do it at every level he has played at. The Championship will be another step up again but who would back against Taylor to make another seamless transition?
The end of the transfer window can't come quick enough for Rovers fans then, but maybe they shouldn't be that worried. After all, "Bob@bobDurhamNews" has informed the world that Rovers have issued a "hands off policy". That's all right then. How long until February 1, please?

I think I would probably die from laughter if 82 sh**e gave us an eight figure fee for mattee. That would be plenty enough for us to buy league1 like they did.Realisticaly I think a £1m bid will suffice enough.

Unless he had a release clause of that figure he will definitely be going for more than that (if he does go). Can't see it being a penny less than £2m - quite possibly £3m given there'd most likely be a bidding war if the reported level of interest is anywhere near correct. If he does go (and there isn't a paltry release clause in place) then I wouldn't be surprised if he became the highest ever valued player we've sold.

If we got that much for Matty I think it could make a huge difference in us getting the new stadium, let alone any new players!

I'm sure someone else mentioned Brighton and Birmingham City, although I can't remember who Aside from the fact that the whole article is based off of random tweets, I think this sentence is the lowest that the Post have sunk to.

That sentence alone is reason enough to close the whole paper down with immediate effect IMO. It's an absolute embarrassment to this city.

From the list of completed deals marvin sordell going UP a division to Burton is an intriguing one. Cov fans must be even more worried now.
As for ideas, one to develop might be Akwasi Asante at Solihull Moors. Had a lot of injuries though. A word on the ex-Gas grapevine to Marcus Bignot (ex-mgr) might be worth it.
I realise it's easier said that done but surely the time to get Bogle was before he went to Grimsby. Ditto Ricky Miller before he scored 24 goals. Ditto Andre gray, ad nauseum...

They've swapped him with Stuart Beavon plus made another signing. As regards Ricky Miller he looked a good player for Dover against us in the conference when we played them at home. So if we were to sign him then surely then would have been best. I couldn't understsnd why Luton had loaned him out to them.
