yes. him and Matty t up front. Bodin and Montano out wide. lines and another in the middle. I would get a bit excited about seeing that for the rest of the season.

Remember the summer he had - scoring for England, going to a World Cup and signing for his boyhood hometown idols Liverpool... Yep, it was all downhill after he left the gas.

No thanks rather have Ollie Watkins, a star in the making, not a fading star, and would rather have the memories I have of Rickie, smashing it past Basso, and that worldy against swindle. Yes Watkins from Exeter would be a great signing, a real show of intent from DC and board. On reflection would rather remember Lambert for his goal against City and numerous others and other good memories. Mind you if he signs on Friday for the rest of the season then I would accept it as a good signing and enjoy the Swindon match on Saturday even more (and hope he repeats what he did against Swindon the last time!). UTG!

Out of interest, who was the last signing we made of someone who had a genuine reputation prior to signing and also did well for us? Do we really have to go as far back as Mark Walters?

I remember when we signed David Hillier ex Arsenal I can't remember what year it was it must have been in the Wally Waters era? Anyway he was crap, but it seemed like a good idea at the time!

Let's sell Taylor for 300k then buy Watkins for 1 million, we would then be 700k down and have half the player we've got now it makes perfect sense! Hopefully Taylor ain't going nowhere. Rickie Lambert yes love too, but: He would cost too much money. He's too old for DC's master plan. We only sign inexperienced young players. ( oh sorry I forgot about Liam Lawrence ) Nuff said! UTG in DC we trust.

My heart says great but realistically it's not the way forward, what budget we have would be blown and Rickie is not going to get any better. A loan deal would certainly add some interest to the season but I don't think Cardiff would let us loan him at a price we could afford. So sorry but it's a no from me.

I'd love to have him back on 2-3 grand a week but he'd want 4 times more than that id imagine.
