I've just wasted 10 minutes of my life reading this. When you could have been cooking, cleaning, ironing, the standard woman things. I haven't ironed in years my dear.. Not since I tried to iron the wrinkles from someone's ball bag. Suffice to say it didn't work.

Darrell has confirmed the signing will be a experienced left back Great we lose our leading goal scorer and only bring in a LB, who'll probably now spend the rest of the season watching LB from the bench. Grow up!

Marriage ,it's like having a bank account .You put it in ,you take it out . You put it in ,you take it out , sooner or later your bound to lose interest .

It was always going to be a player announcement. Wael himself confirmed this! He also said not a striker. What were people expecting?
I for one am pretty happy with this signing as we haven't had proper cover for Lee Brown since Jim Paterson broke his leg in pre-season 2013!!

To be fair what with the Judgement day thread saying a meeting with UWE was taking place after three meetings last week and the Chairman stating live from Walsall a couple of weeks ago that the Completion on the purchase of the training ground was taking place on the 3rd, it is easy why people expected a little more than the signing of a player who to be fair is unattached and has been for sometime. With the saga of the last few days I personally expected more, lets hope tomorrow brings us at the very least an announcement that we have at least spent some money on the training ground.

If he hadn't said it was a player maybe. Lol Even if they are meeting this week, until it's all signed or confirmed it's over I doubt we will have an announcement.

There's no meeting required just to exchange contracts/complete the deal for the training ground?

OK, but if the club confirm the deal's completed tomorrow on the training ground then that must surely be a good pointer re the UWE as I can't see the Al-Q's signing off a £3m(?) investment in Almondbury if they are not confident the UWE will go ahead, as that will be just dead money if we're then stuck playing Div 1 football at the Mem for another 5+ years.

Hamer made references to 'revenue streams' at the Fleetwood training ground etc. so I don't know if its 'dead money'. I hope you're right but I'm not 100% that the training ground happening = UWE happening

I hope you're right but I'm not 100% that the training ground happening = UWE happening The boss man said along the lines of that BRFC need a new stadium to progress and that they plan to deliver that stadium. They hoped it would be the UWE site and that is what they were working towards .If that didn't happen then a new stadium would still be the main priority just a new project . The training facilities are needed today to offer a permanent location to the squad ,the academy and youth facilities offer potential for better trained young players in the future. The Almondsbury project needs to happen to progress the club regardless of a new stadium.
