Lumley 8 one bad kick but otherwise very good Partington 7 slotted in well looks a good addition Lockyer 7 defended well Sweeney 8 rock at the back,just the sort of centreback we needed Brown 7 did his defending and got forward better when Monty came on Lines 7.5 Good game again O. Clarke 5.5 not as effective as he has been lately,but one great shot first half that just curled wide Sinclair 7 typical Sincs Bodin 6 just couldn't find the space to get a good look at goal,nice to have him back though Harrison 6 put himself about but no real chances Gaffney 4 Worked hard but very little came off,great chance when clean through but made a hash of it,still thought for a few seconds he had scored,then saw the flag. Subs: Montano 7 really livened us up Moore 6 Crowd 9 great atmosphere tonight Ref 6 after saturdays ref he seemed good Sheffield U 7 |

Lumley 8 again quality must give his defence confidence
Partington 7.5 looks a good player, a better defender than Leads
Lockyer 7 did very well against some good forwards
Sweeney 8.5 MOM he really is what we were looking for
Brown 6.5 all he seemed to do was hoof the ball up field, needs a rest
Lines 7.5 a couple of good surging runs
O Clarke 6.5 looked tired last night though did run hard
Sinclair 6.5 usual battling performance but after he went off we looked a better attacking outfit
Bodin 6.5 good in flashes, looked our best chance of scoring
Harrison 6.5 battled but never looked like scoring
Gaffney 7 played a strange roll on the left first half, should have scored a one on one before being brought down IMO
Montano 7 bright little cameo
Moore 6.5 devoid of confidence
Ref 2 I truly despair
Crowd 9 great effort by both sets of fans, you are just a sh** Sheffield Weds was a great shout
DC 8 apart from Sinclair who seemed to be all over the shop got his tactics right
We gave them too much respect early on, but had the best of the second have and can count ourself unlucky not to have snatched it. We ran our socks off but it is worrying me where are the goals going to come from? The ref and linesman were truly shocking with basic wrong decisions. I thought Gaffney was fouled on the edge of the box though the lack of complaint by him might suggest differently. At the end of the day we have played two good footballing sides and not lost. It shows the gulf between us and the top teams, I would love a Rovers team to pass the ball round like those teams. Anyway upward and onward UTG

Lumley 8 Another commanding performance apart from bad kick out.
Partington 7 a few nervy moments trying to stay on his feet but generally solid and composed.
Lockyer 7 Good performance forming a great understanding with Sweeney
Sweeney 9 MOTM Commanding and the rock we have missed. shame he isn't ours.
Brown 7 Much better performance than of late.
Lines 8 Some great runs and quality on the ball.
O. Clarke 6 Battled well.
Sinclair 7 Typical Sincs performance.
Bodin 6 good in flashes looked the most likely to create anything.
Harrison 5 frustratingly poor in looking after the ball.
Gaffney 5 lacked quality in the business area's of the pitch.
Subs: Montano 7 great impact.
Moore 6 did ok.
Crowd 9 best for a long time.
Ref 5 better than Saturday.
Sheffield U 8 Organised all over the pitch but fair play to DC got his tactics spot on. If we had better forwards then we could have edged it.

Lumley - 8 - couple of spills, but got there when it counted. Loved hearing him command the back line. Very confident keeper. (MOTM)
Partington - 6 - lost his man a couple of times appeared to be struggling to keep up with Sheffields winger, but looked pretty solid.
Lockyer - 7 - Good performance, nice to see him driving the ball forward again.
Sweeney - 7 - This guy is a brick wall, what we've been missing in the backline.
Brown - 7 - Solid performance, good runs.
Lines - 7 - Some good runs, appeared to be playing wider than normal, obviously part of DC's formation plan.
O. Clarke - 5 - Not played as well as he has in recent games, lost the ball a few times and seemed to be playing in slow motion.
Sinclair - 6 - Good run around as always, kept the pressure on.
Bodin - 7 - Looked pretty good, nice bit of foot work, hounded all game, wonder what would of happened if he'd been given a bit of space!
Harrison - 5 - didn't see him in the box, but did run around and got back to help with defending.
Gaffney - 5 - Didn't look like scoring, didn't have the confidence to shoot in the one on one.
Subs: Montano - 7 - Great impact when he came on.
Moore - 5 - ok, played better than he had in recent games, but still not playing great.
Crowd - 7 - Louder than some home games, wish we'd keep the singing going all game!
Ref - 6 - Quite lenient, unfortunately didn't want to give us any luck, lines man made a few off decisions.
Sheffield U - 6 - came for a point, looked pretty dangerous though can tell why they are where they are in the table.

I know Sweeney and Lumley rightly are getting a lot of plaudits but it's great that Partington has stepped up from non league and looks at home straight away against top sides. Bodes very well for next season.
