Its funny isn't it how some people will bow down to Gosling in honour of playing a part over the last few years that achieved back-to-back promotions, then in the same breath criticise Beard saying we only hit form when he is out of the side. I don't bow down to Gos but am grateful for his contribution and you can like them both! I'd probably bow down to SS but he would never stop running for me to catch up! UTG!

On that score I don't think he works he a midfield two where DC had tended to play in the previous two seasons, this new role he's played since returning to the side seems to suit his game. The fact we've played three top 6 sides in succession without conceding one goal suggests he's doing something right, it's just a pity we're a goalscorer down or we could have well picked up a win or two in those games. I do agree with what you're saying but we did concede against Bradford.

I think when people in the future look back on this era of recovery from despair stuart will be one of the main icons. He is the epitome of what darrell clarke has created, hard work, supreme fitness, ferocious commitment and footballing ability not to mention a fantastic beard. Hes also the polar opposite to the pampered prima donna mega bucks feigning injury nambi-pambi mega star most of us despise.

How quickly some people forget. I remember a few years back, when the team was stuffed with journeymen appearing to just go through the motions. I remember all the talk on the forums was that the fans wanted players who, "played for the shirt", who "put a shift in". During those times fans were unanimous that they would prefer a player of lesser ability who at least worked his socks off, over a prima donna who just loafed around the pitch. If we had eleven players with the same attitude and work ethic of The Beard, we would never had got relegated out of the football league. He has been fantastic for this football club, and in my opinion, he still has an important role to play.

And it was great to see the award he got last season for outstanding work in the community. A national recognition of what he does over and above the stuff on the pitch. Well done Stuart, the epitome of Bristol Rovers! UTG!

Sorry but the nonsense of "we looked better went Sinclair went off" is nonsense. We looked better when he went off because he had done what was asked of him and allowed us to switch to wingers against a tiring team. SS is not there to hit perfect 40 yard passes or to split defences. He's there to harass and give them no time on the ball. DC said the plan was to hit on the counter for the first 60, but if SS wasn't doing what he does best then there would have been no point swirching to 442 and utilising wingers. quit using your god damned cleverness to try to stop stereotypes becoming 'fact'

If I had a daughter (I don't), the best thing I could hope for, would be for her to bring home a fella like The Beard. He'd think I was a weirdo 'cos I'd just be sitting on the settee smiling at him all the time, looking forward to having the best looking grand kids of all time. UTG!

How I despise him and wish the fleas from a thousand camels would infest his arse'ole. Furthermore I notice that Wael can't bring himself to say the name of our permanent enemy.

I previously posted that we should just forget him. It's hard though, isn't it, when you read things like that?

Just watched the Freeview Friday interview too - He truly is a legend.......... Epitomises everything that you want in a player.
Hard working, no airs and graces - proud of where he is, just wants to play his part and improve from week to week

I do find this 'off day' stuff a bit OTT though.
we didn't lose at PV. We got a point.
A few years ago we lost almost all away games to every Lge 2 team, sometimes by several goals.
It's good of course that our expectations have risen though.
