The biggest mistake NH made was to publicly ostracise and attempt to belittle Colin Williams and Mike Turl when there was no one asking anything that was pertaining to them in anyway. He may moan that people talked who had signed confidentiality clauses but he certainly likes to drop a few bombs himself. It was certainly very silly if not stupid to have made the flippant comment that he did. They are not no mark people and certainly would not want them as hostiles
Ok people, can I suggest you are barking up the wrong tree?
Lets try out a scenario.
The owners of the Memorial Stadium are a bit unique in football in that love em or hate em we accept that they are all fans. True?
So, what we have, potentially, is friendly landlords.
They own a piece of land that on the open market is probably worth anything between £12m and £25m with planning approval. They may want to apply for planning approval for housing to underpin those values. But thats for them.
How about they gave up running the football club and let another group run that without having to buy them out of their only Brfc related asset, the ground. What that group would have to do is come up with enough working capital to run the football club from the day of takeover.
Lets say, round numbers, £2m.
This would obviously cover current operating losses and allow the new group to implement their business plan to operate in a sustainable mannner,ie break
That is just way too sensible Les, don't you think ?
Is there any evidence that Nick Higgs has the capacity to let go ? I don't think so. It seems that any move to do something positive is taken as a personal attack.
What you say makes sense and would be very doable if only we had the people in place to accept it, sigh
