Top performance Lumley Manse Gaffers And fair play to James, barely lost a ball in the air, unlucky to hit the post and not connect with Gaffneys pass near the end It will happen for him, cannnot fault the work rate, this is what we want , all to play for 9 to go, you never know Literally the only thing you can criticise James for is taking up the wrong position for the Gaffney pass; he should have stayed far more central. Can't help but feel that he's got goals in him and when you consider that he's yet to score a goal for us that says something I think!

Gotta feel sorry for James, very very unlucky not to get his goal today but ran his socks off and put a good shift in

Another very enjoyable game, very good offensively first half, excellent defending second half and still came closest to scoring in that half. It really is a joy being a gashead, thank you DC and the boys in blue.

Very impressed with james today especially first half when he won loads of headers and worked his socks off. His control for Gaffers goal was superb as well, and unlucky with the shot that hit the post. Gaffney was back to his old self as well and scored a good goal and unlucky not to get another. Southend put us under pressure second half but were woeful in front of goal. They are nothing more than a dirty horrible niggly team that constantly moaned at the ref. Agree with all that but Gaffers goal was more than good :-)

Worked his nuts off as usual but was also more of a goal threat today. Got into some good positions and was very unlucky when he hit the post. Also won a strange amount of balls in the air today?! Perhaps that 'man bun' he was rocking gave him an extra foot of height.

If we have any chance of making the playoffs this season then this is a MUST win game IMO. It won't be easy as Southend are 7th but we are strong at home and playing incredibly well recently so I fancy us to win. Ollie Clarke is suspended for 2 games, so will be interesting to see how DC goes about that. Will he revert to a 4-4-2? Not sure if DC will want to play Sinclair in a middle 2? Or will we stick with the 4-3-3 formation that has brought us so much joy recently and replace Ollie with either Mansell/Partington? Um, Just *WOW!* At 06.20 on a weekday morning, my alarm has just usually woken me up ready for a hard days work.(You're already posting on an internet forum..... ) I've usually just awoken with an massive bonner for Louise Minchin, seems you have one just for me...... Both our posts seems to show what we both find exciting first thing in the morning.... I'm going to be cringing when I wake up at 06.15 on Monday knowing what you're thinking about...... But hey, its the 21st century, what ever turns you on! Just don't let Stefan know though, as it might cause a bit of friction between the pair of you. Over to you for the caught a whopper, etc etc reply. *WHOOP WHOOP!!* Loves me a bit of Lou in the morning!!!!!

Seems that Mr Brown wasn't too impressed either! - (via Southend Twitter Account) Southend United Verified account @sufcrootshall 2 hours ago BROWN "I thought you saw an honest performance from the opposition and a dishonest performance from my side."

Just googled that Louise Minchin. Jesus the state of it.
That bite off you is only minorly embarrassing in comparison!

Could Gaffney's goal today be the trigger for yet another late-season DC miracle? Clearly we are unbeatable recently, home and away, but we just don't score enough without the belly crawling serpent. A bit of confidence can make all the difference. It's not all about tactics. Mental attitude can transform things and maybe Gaffney and Bodin can now turn those draws into wins.
