Yeah cause that's all sincs does , when we win we're better than Barca when we lose our players are gash, same old drivel by the same old posters. Sadly though many people on here suck up to the Roving Reporter. He has issues with Sinclair, which as I said earlier, are becoming boring. It is out of order to consistently pick on him. With respect. Jesus christ you've got some nerve. You're not exactly a pillar of the forum community when it comes to singling out players. Steve K writes what he thinks and most appreciate his reports even if we do disagree with some of his opinions.

For once I'm going to say it. One of the worst write ups ever. Still a huge bias against brown, james & sincs. I wish we could have a PL style heat map on Brown. The reason he sometimes struggles defending is because his position on the pitch us consistently higher than more full backs and certainly our RB, whoever it is. And that's the reason our RB has scored about 3 goals in 3 seasons and provided very few assists, whereas Brown has scored a lot of goals and provided numerous assists. But the Arab never gets the constant criticism you give to Brown. We can't have everything in a full back- if we did he will be in the Championship. Whole sections might as well be copy & pasted every week - and certainly every away game. The inconsistencies are very clear. You mention the stonewall penalty and rightly suggest it could have changed the game, but you've already slagged off most of our players and our manager as if it was their fault they didn't go one up and gain the momentum from that - the ref takes blame for us not being in the lead, not the players. It could well have been a very different performance if 1 man had done his job. I'm not sure where else to start except the obvious --- fans were either in concourse or outside - there was a stressed near us (1st block) wandering around all game with a megaphone which he never used. If only they could have used such a resource to INFORM people. Why are the opposition always labelled 'poor' just because they are near the bottom of the table? No team goes a whole season without winning and without putting in some decent performances. We were 19th in sept so using your logic everyone should have beat us and we should be in the rele zone now. You play the game on the day - that exact day. Sadly for us we got them after a win & a new mgr came in - they play at Wembley next wk so no one wants to be dropped for that do they. Expectations to win these so called easy games has got silly & reminds me of some of the arrogance we had in 2014. Additionally, he says it's best not to say anything about DC, we'll leave it at that....... and then proceeds to lay into him! I agree. Steve K has had an excellent couple of years, but I'm not sure whether he has it in him to be a summariser at Championship level

We have the nucleus of a Confrence side with a splattering of L2 quality, and one or two good quality but yet unproven loanees. Perhaps some are playing as well as they did last season or better, but just don't look so effective as they are not consistent enough at this level. Perhaps some will improve with the experience & development & perhaps some will not. We all have our favourite players & want them to play every game & we all have some players that we are not over keen on & see them as fringe players at best. We only see the tip of the iceberg in the 90 mins on match day & pay our fees to watch & if the team, the formation & the result is what we want, we class ourselves as football management materiial if the team, formation or result isn't what we want, we still class ourselves as football management material & log on to forums to explain what went wrong & provide a sure fire solution to correct things. We used to discuss / moan / provide solutions / argue on the way home or in the Pub afterwards in a small group, but now we can reach thousands by posting our views on forums. We could never agree amongst half a dozen of us, so with a few thousand there's no chance. On these types of threads I often think, did I see the same game or those comments appeared before. Still it's all about opinions, I think that we have had an exceptional season & have full faith in DC to continue to improve the club . We all have a bad day at the office, especially when we are new to the place

Let me get this right you can praise players when we win but cant criticise when they lose, even as badly as they performed yesterday? Err, ok then.

Who has ever in the history of this forum ever truthfully said or even implied this? If someone disagrees with someone else's view they are not shutting down the conversation or denying them the right to an opinion. This goes for those perceived to be more glass half-full and those who are more glass half-empty.

Its always implied, people get shot down for not being uplifting after a defeat but you get 6+ likes on a positive post. You win and everything is good, lose and people will criticise. Its a results business as DC often says, we shouldnt all have to be happy just because 3 years ago we were playing Macclesfield, we need to continue to progress. I can take defeats but that performance was shocking yesterday there is no denying that.

Absolutely, we are all different and have different expectations from our football club but the main thing is that we all want the best for the club. If someone thinks certain players aren't good enough then why not be able to put their views to other gasheads on an open forum, rather than the alternative of giving them verbals at the match. I like a good moan as much as anyone but if you saw me at the game you wouldn't think it was the same person.

I enjoy Steve K's reviews even if I don't agree with everything - they usually come close to what I saw and so are a useful read for the games I don't see. Please keep it up Steve. Thank you.

People have every right to say a player hasn't performed on the day , problem is , is it's never like that with certain posts is it ? One week take sincs for example , you will get someone saying "sincs was outstanding today and has come on leaps and bounds" but the next week he might have an off day and all it will be is " sincs runs around a lot but can only pass sideways , he's not league one standard " . It goes from one extreme to the other and that's when posters like me say " cue the meltdown" as the majority of posts on here when we lose are pathetic and it's the usual people spilling out the same old sh**e ! DC has it spot on when it comes to most of our fans when he says " party poppers when we win and disaster when we don't "

Problem was that saying unfortunately sums up yesterday's result perfectly, a win and we were right in the mix with Southend, a loss and we really are now going to struggle to make the top 6, that's what yesterday's start 11/performance so hard to accept, I'd sooner we'd gone all to win and finish up losing than produce such an insipid display.
As far as Sincs he seemed to start in an odd left wing position and them move to an ever odder role as Gaffers half time replacement. I would have thought Monty & Easter would have been fat better in those roles yesterday, which is no fault of Sincs.

Who cares what other supporters post, its their opinion however unreasonable or non-constructive. Football supporters are generally fickle by nature, no point getting worked up on others point of view.

Saying "cue the meltdown" is normally just a joke about the predictability of the forum it's not getting in the way of others views. That is what the mods are for

Saying "cue the meltdown" is normally just a joke about the predictability of the forum it's not getting in the way of others views. That is what the mods are for I know, I quoted that in my post but it was the last one I read and I wasn't singling that one out on purpose, I was generally aiming at people putting people down for having the audacity to criticise a double promotion winning side and manager. When you don't turn up to a bottom of the table side who are practically down in what is a must-win game then questions are going to be asked so in that respect yes it is predictable. Go on any forum of a team who lost this weekend and see if there aren't any negative posts, even Doncaster are criticising their players for not being clinical whilst sitting on 78 points after scoring 75 goals!

I would advise on checking out other forums as it gives some perspective on reaction to good/bad results.

In fairness just like all of us the op has his favourites and the players he dosnt like. 3 of my favourite players at rovers are brown, leadbitter and sinclair who the op is mostly critical of so i often spring to their defence after reading his reports. If i tried to do an in depth report every week my biases would also be exposed, chris lines for instance does my head in by jumping out of tackles and going missing too often during difficult games or periods of games but the op loves him and lavishes great praise on him, point on making is we all have our faves and players we dont like and the op is no different to us all. One other thing is that the op dosnt understand or rate our manager and just cant work out why we have achieved so much playing the wrong style, tactics, formations and shocking team selections, funny really.

There have been plenty of games where the result hasn't been right but the performance was pretty good. Most of the games against the top teams in February were like this. Yesterday however was not a good performance and I think my marks summed this up with only one 7 and the rest 6 and less. People seem to get really worked up of any criticism of some players - criticism of Sincs meets with this mainly based on his enthusiasm and workrate however my main criticism of him is the role in which DC finds a place for him in the side rather than have him battle for a place with Lines and Ollie Clarke. It is my overall opinion that he is not good enough a player to have a regular place but is a good squad member who can come in and do a good job in certain games. The fact I don't think he is good enough does not stop me from saying he is great one week and poor the next. He has had some excellent games but if we are to challenge for a top six place I see him as a bit part player.
