Anyone know how many have been sold? The chairman said all seats are sold out, the last time he counted we had 3244 seats and more deckchairs were on order# tinpot!

I'm sure I heard somewhere it's over 5,000 sold. Could be wrong though.

Sure I read somewhere that there were over 1k on a waiting list for a seat? Don't know if that is people with season tickets in another part of the ground. So all the 3416 seats are as good as sold and we were up to number 2439 in the blackthorn 3 weeks ago.Could be pushing 7k by August I reckon.

im guessing that in the days of mark walters ,Vitalis Astafjevs , Jamie Cureton , Jason Roberts etc Rovers had a top six budget It would appear that's the sort of budget the board are offering now. That team managed 7th but should have got first or second place. This years target seems to be 3rd to 6th....so expect some good strikers to come through the door. I have a sneaky feeling there could be a lot of all ticket games this season and a fair few sellouts. A season ticket this year might turn out to be a very good move.
Its going to be pretty obvious the only seats that will be available will be in the south west stand on potd. The west enclosure will be sold out. I get a feeling that after the summer signings the Thatchers end will be near enough sold out, leaving just east terrace places available for pay on the day. Risking getting a good soaking. Im taking a punt at 7000+ season tickets being sold come August.

I believe some of the seats have to be kept open for pay on the day. (Or at least they were last season.)

If we are close to selling out quite a few games, how much chance is there for "temporary/increased" seating?.
With no rugby, the south stand could be moved at least 10 yards further forward ( so could have more seats) and could go the whole width of the pitch.
Even in the away end and the Guinness stand I don't think this will obscure much of the pitch as I don't think that the areas are actually behind the pitch.

It may be possible to then use the entire width of the pitch at the tent end. Im sure though the club would have looked at this before. Bear in mind this would also put more of the away standing behind the goal line.....

I was thinking the other day, now that the rugby have moved out, wouldn't there be more area to contruct a stadium at the mem as the old rugby try area at each end is no longer required.

Sadly it's not just a case of how many seats we can fit in. It involves that little known body called HEALTH & SAFETY. There has to bit sufficient toilets and walkway space to safely get the additional people in and out. Etc etc etc. Hence why we must get the UWE.

Yes, I think we'd actually have to apply for an increase in overall ground capacity to increase the number of seats, or reduce the capacity of (ie the number we let into) the standing areas.

Aren't fans talking about a temporary solution until we get to the UWE, not a permanent one at the Mem? Whilst H&S may be an issue if we are replacing terracing space with seats then crowd numbers won't increase, although I think it was suggested moving the electrical cabling etc where the scoreboard is now situated wouldn't be cost effective.

Yes, I think we'd actually have to apply for an increase in overall ground capacity to increase the number of seats, or reduce the capacity of (ie the number we let into) the standing areas. Counterproductive to reduce standing to incorporate more seats. Capacity would be much lower, and reduced attendance would soon result in those not getting in losing touch with the club. This is the danger now with us hitting close to capacity each week.
