A player is 'only as good as those around him'. In my view this is one of the weakest strike forces we have had in many many years. I think Ellis could have been a much better player if he had experience like Roberts Lambert Duffy around him. The fact is Ellis played in a weak front - line and is no better or worst than the rest. Which means it is highly likely all the strikers at the club will be released and not only one scapegoat.. I think it is likely Ellis and Rory will get new contracts and Easter released. That will still leave 2 or 3 spaces in the squad for new strikers. Will be disappointed if either are here next season although to be fair Rory has just started to show glimpses of managing at this level. Can't see how either could be first choice strikers next season if we genuinely want to move forward.

Does anyone genuinely believe we'll release Gaffney, Easter & Harrison not sign James and bring in 5 new strikers ? Absolutely no chance, why would we completely rip apart a squad that's been good enough to comfortably finish in the top 10. Agreed we need more quality especially up front but I'd suggest we're more likely to add to what we already have rather than start from scratch which imo is exactly the way it should be

Getting rid of Easter, James and bringing in a couple of good strikers with Gaffney/Ellis is plausible, trying to replace all 4/5 in one transfer window is not

Memories of Rene Howe, Ben Hunt and others come flying back. Think we need to get a couple in regardless, just becomes that much harder if you're in the market for 4 or 5 strikers.

I cannot fathom how we can spend wages on Harrison for another season
I could go on and on and on over my frustrations with him and also Byron Moore
My heart truly sinks when I see them in the starting line up and the languid, disinterested demeanour they both emanate makes my p!ss boil
Arrgggghhhhhhhhh

Moore gave a goal away and Harrison held nothing

Have to say he has gone backwards rather than forwards. Too much time and money wasted in him. As for his personal life comments what a croc of Rubbish to spout stuff about him and then respond with where do I start and not state anything.

James is a perfect example. No one could really say he has improved our attack this season. Would people be happy if we signed another James, or Gaffney, or Harrison? Because that is probably what we will end up with getting 4 or 5 in, even if we get 1 or 2 really good ones in

Assuming Gaffney is looked on as a back up striker next season then where does Harrison fit in? Back up to a back up? Personally out of Easter and James I'd keep the former, assuming he'd accept a reasonable contact, as I doubt many local league clubs will be prepared to offer him a contract next season?

At least you may get the chance to say goodbye to him on sunday
