Hopefully the snake will talk little Lee into signing him as a replacement for Tammy.

So Ellis goals have disappointed you have they very important goals may I add we could still be in the conference playing Braintree That was 2 seasons ago against Conference defenders. Should we resign Monkhouse too? The team has moved on. It's perfectly possible to accept that Ellis has scored some vital goals in the last few seasons but still note that some of his performances have been disappointing isn't it?

You could say that about a lot of the squad but a striker gets more criticism than most outfield players

Votes at 30/30. I think a lot of fans are 50/50. Im not bothered either way. But I do think it could be in Ellis best interests to go elsewhere i fresh start, clean slate of judgement I think would benifit him elsewhere.

I would keep him as a squad player as long as he's not expensive (can't believe he is). On his day he brings a lot and I think we could continue to benefit. Won't be a regular starter at this level though unless something changes so arguably not in his interests to stay
One wider point I was wondering was whether DC will switch from his strength in depth approach to fewer but higher quality players. Still feels like he has quite a big squad and does like ability to switch it about a bit. That seems to be key to his formula but maybe the only way to be able to afford the quality is to ease back on quantity?

Im amused that people think Ellis is our best striker. Gaffers does more in 1 game than Ellis does in 5. Totally agree 👍

I will add I think he will stay, I think Gaffers will stay, I think LJ will booted back to whence he came and I think Easter will be released
Two new strikers will be recruited, we will gain automatic promotion in 2nd place and this time next year there will be no feckin gap (unless the Sh!t finally buckle and come down )

close call with the vote being very even After watching him on Easter Monday against Oldham I thought he was awful until he woke up and scored the winner and sunsequently made a great block to deny Oldham an equaliser I find it frustrating watching him as he does have talent but doesnt seem interested at times I would definately offer him a one year contract and hope the coaching staff can motivate him to be more consistant

On his day he brings a lot... the problem with Ellis' day is it's not normally on a match day. I get he's 'one of our own', he's 'come up through the ranks' and all of that... we just have to face facts.. HE'S NOT GOOD ENOUGH AT THIS LEVEL!! Not with us anyway, perhaps he can 'kick on' somewhere else, he wasn't really good enough last season... he got by. And to say he's scored some important goals is just ludicrous... how many has he missed (and you can say that about the snake). You could argue that had Ellis been released, and a new striker bought in, we'd be in the play-off spots IF new striker had put those chances away. OR, had a new striker come in and played the games Ellis played those goals would have been scored anyway... all if's, but's and maybe's... one thing is for sure though... It's time he moved on, and tried hard/ had a day/ etc for some other team, and we can sit back and read all the same comments from another set of fans.

He is playing football for a decent living, never had to do a hard days work in his life so far. I think we have all seen flashes of real quality but thats all they are. The annoying thing is we know how good he can be at times and thats why many peoples disappointment is expressed with giving stick, otherwise he'd have slipped into non-league quietly like many other youngsters have done. He doesnt even really seem like a DC type of player considering what DC said he looks for.

In view of his age I thought he is under contract until we release his registration.
That's what MS said or words to that effect at WSM Supporters Club AGM. Marcus has a lot of time for him.
