I have mixed feelings about the idea of regularly selling out....
brilliant support, brilliant for the club.
crap for casuaul support who can only make late decisions on whether they can attend or not.
by the way, a lot of supporters are the later, and have at times been the life blood of our club....

I'd sooner have that than be playing the likes of Braintree at home and having my pick of the terrace

Sorry must have misread.
Don't worry we wont sell-out regularly unless we were in the Championship, and hopefully we'll be in a new stadium at that point.
I'll be quite happy challenging near the top of L1 for a few seasons yet, even that is miles better than most of my Rovers supporting years.

thats cool dude, I do worry about availability for members of the gas family who might be excluded..... older people who can't make every game people with jobs that include weekend working people with young families people who just come along with mates if these people become excluded from attending on a flexible basis (and we've all been one of the above at one time or another) then we are so so losing so much more than attendance alone....

So if we we're Bournemouth you'd sooner swap their Premiership status for life in Div 1, on the basis it's easier to get a last minute ticket for the latter? Although something will have to give soon either we get a new ground or the money will run out and normality, for Rovers fans, will return.

The more sell-outs we get the more pressure, if there wasn't enough already, will be put on the club to get a new ground or increase current capacity.
In the meantime you cant please everyone.

I'm merely stating that by selling out we risk alienating the casual fan.... true or false?

I wouldn't worry about it there is nothing that can be done about that until we expand/relocate/get relegated

I think what I am saying is more casual fans are becoming regular fans which is why the crowds are increasing

That's got to something somebody could work out/guess/estimate...........how many individual Gasheads attended home games this season. Would be one for the feasibility study to find out what the current fan base is. Guess anyone?

It seems we have around 9,000 regular fans each home game, then 1,000/2,000 extra for the big games, but are they they same 1,000/2,000 for each big game or a different 1,000/2,000? I guess we have somewhere between 10,000 & 12,000 individual fans watch us at home this season? If we have than virtually every regular & casual fan could see virtually every home game if they wanted to?

Certainly won't be going tomorrow...absolutely packed, not enough room to swing a punch.
