Sorry to see that Montano was not offered a contract. Same here, I like Monty. He blows hot and cold, but then again if a winger at this level was class every game then they wouldn't be in League 1. Sad to see him go.

Id rather see better players then Harrison and Gaffney to be honest but i guess they may be cheap squad players.

Like who? Monty is definitely one of the better wingers we've had at the Mem in recent years and his pace has often given teams something to think about, especially coming on against tiring legs. I'm not sure that Beckham could have picked out Harrison and Gaffney with crosses at times this season so I'm not sure I buy the "no end product" line. Regardless of whether or not there are better options out there (again, like who?) I think many will be disappointed to see the back of Cristian Montano. I will not miss him at all a very poor player at this level, was better last year so i can see him at the likes of Yovile etc Fair enough. I did say many, not all.

Not surprised to see Montano released personally.
Other than Bodin we're very weak on the wings IMO (certainly none of them are top 6 L1 standard).
If DC is only planning on adding one winger in the summer, Montano probably had to go with Moore under contract for another year, Broom offered a contract and Bodin being Bodin.

The task now is for DC to bring in a better winger than Monty who, on his day, probably the most exciting winger since Muzzy left

With Harris and Greenslade going there must be a LB on the way. Sorry to see Montano going. Yes inconsistent, but always a threat with good pace and excellent at tracking back. I feel Lucas was never really given a chance to show what he could do, but no surprise really. As said, does Mildenhall sticking around mean goodbye to Stuart Naylor? No mention of thanks and best wishes on the OS.

Like James Clarke.Reliable, never lets us down, best defender by a mile at Walsall, underated. Completely agree not flash but a good option anywhere along the back 4, he's never let us down superb at Bolton, not surprised at all he's been offered a deal, as you say very underated

Interesting that he has announced the list now - before the final game! Hopefully will give the fans a chance to show their appreciation to all involved.
BTW - anyone want a ticket to the South Stand for Sunday? 1 x Adult and 3 U11..... Wife has booked weekend in London....

Happy with that list.
Much rather have Ellis as a fourth striker than Monty as a first choice winger.

I understand contracts expire at the end of June so new players can't be signed until then. So no baying for blood if there aren't any signings before this time. Have patience So 13 players from last season who either played or not as in Gosling case no longer on the books. 5 existing players offered new contracts so assuming they all sign (but maybe not if wages no high enough.) So the nucleus of the team who got us to 10th position still in place and under contract. There are 4 players on loan who have not been mentioned as they cannot sign until July anyway even if they are staying either as loan or permanent. I take it for granted most fans would like to see Lumley and Sweeney signed preferably as permanent players but if not as 12 month loans again. James and Clarke-Salter both doubtful in many eyes I think So who and which position does Clarke need to sign to bolster our chances of improving on this years league position. Will it be players from leagues below or from the Championship list below? Will Mr Al Qadi deliver a playing budget for any of these assuming Mr Clarke fancies any of them and they take a punt on dropping a division? www.bolton.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=489665
