Maybe we are expecting to use the pitch more next season, Rugby coming home... ?

I can understand all the improvements apart from the pitch.
We don't have many games called off and it has been widely publicised how good our home record has been in the last 3 seasons. Seems a bit strange to fix something that isn't broken even without considering a possible move to UWE.
It could be a leveller for away teams next season.
In the scheme of a Stadium build, it's not an awful lot of cash to keep the pitch tip top is it? So may as well have it done.
But we are also making it tip-top for the opposition as well.
I would imagine players get used to the imperfections of their own ground and use it to their advantage (slope etc) as we did at Twerton.
The pitch looks fine with no egg chasing going on there.

All the talk about moving to a new stadium and training ground won't happen. And hearing the manager what's all this work done how long before the owner has enough and see's he is lossing loads of his money in a team full of empty promise....... I thought his/her 1st post was the worst ever - this post even beats that by my reckoning. Sounds more like a clue from The Times crossword to me - but I can't work out the answer - I keep coming back to SH?T. My guess is that it's somebody connected to the groundsman whose just departed apparently DC didn't get on with him, hence his recent comments about the grass being too long, and it must be somebody who's been told that CPS Grounds have now been contracted to look after the pitch, so I doubt it's just some random s...head on a wind up?

We don't want them bloody rugger buggers back here again we'll end up with a pitch like Newports and just go back to playing hoofball. Pantsdown can keep them losers for his collection.

But then if the opposition aren't used to a top notch pitch, advantage us?

Possibly, but i'm a "if it aint broken, don't fix it" kind of guy.
Rochdale wouldn't have got anywhere near the play offs if they had a decent pitch.

I think with that natural spring in the corner by the tunnel, it always needs fixing.

Yeah - could be right. Did seem as though they had a fall-out culminating in that grass too long conversation they had at half time at one match. Pitch always looked pretty good to me apart from one match when it was waterlogged near the tunnel and family area.

Bath rugby coming to the mem when they place is getting revamped. Well now you are proving beyond doubt you're a dyslexic s...head, perhaps Bath could use AG and Bristol play at Twerton as I doubt they'll need to play at AG in the Championship next season.

Maybe it's more cost effective doing this than relaying it every close season?

It must be incredibly difficult though trying to post with all those fingers no wonder the grammar is excellent!
