According to someone posting on here last week (can't remember who) the proposal was rejected, but then the Eff-All came back with more money, which clinched the deal.
At least there's this:
- EFL team selection criteria amended to allow increased flexibility for League One and League Two clubs
So, no fines for fielding a much-changed team, I guess.

Attendances dropped by 50%. How was it a success. More boycotts then. Won't be long till B teams are the norm.

not too worried to be honest. Just pretend it doesn't even exist, stick out a crap team and get knocked out first stage .

The extra money was the deciding factor in the end. Hopefully as many of not more fans will boycott. Many more teams will now play fringe players (hopefully we do that too) and then I really hope two academy teams make it to the final with only a couple of thousand in attendance.

Reading that artical there was no comments from people who voted against it. A bit one sided. More negatives than positives can be found, but apparently there isn't any. BULL$HIT.

So once again lots of clubs have gone for the money.Whilst I will continue to boycott these games I cannot see any change taking place soon after last year years fiasco.A golden opportunity missed to revert to the old ko format.

What a bag of sh**! I blame Coventry & Oxford for taking over 74,000 to the final that seems to have made the whole crap competition a success, really??? Boycott it again it's not worth a w**k!

Not surprising, yet the majority of clubs will have lost out financially from this last season.
Let the vanity project continue, am sure the boycott will be just as strong - hopefully stronger.

FFS it is for the next 2 seasons as well. On the plus side it gives DC more motivation to get us promoted next season.

Continued boycott absolutely essential now. The EFL are taking fans for mugs.

It should be a straight knock-out and we can get back to our usual 1 game a season in this sorry excuse of a competition.
We will soon know who voted to keep the format as most other clubs like us will make a statement to say they voted against.

Steve Hamer has said we will be in it to win it and wants the fans to back the club and increase attendances. That's either bluff or the alleged increased prize money means we now all of sudden are looking to win it, which imo is a bit off.
I guess we'll have to wait and see in the first game.

The clubs that entered an under 23 side should not have been allowed to vote but I take they did? 66% I can't believe it's that high, back handers I recon or fake news!

I guess as its more relaxed on what players we can put out, if we have a biggish squad we can chuck in all the fringe players who will be guaranteed 3 competitive matches.
Other than that I see no point of it and the clubs that have voted for it obviously did it for the money. I bet not many will own up to voting for it!!

Don't care what Hamer says I suspect DC sees it very differently.

Presumably all the championship clubs get to vote and voted in favour. After the Accrington owners outburst earlier this week you'd have thought more clubs would have opposed it unless they've all been offered enough money to make it worth it even with no fans going to games. I'll boycott again as I think it's still wrong
