Sadly dabbling in Politics on a football forum is unlikely to end well, all the best.

Can't understand why the Labour and Lib Dem columns are coloured the wrong way round.
Anyone wants my vote on anything colour it blue. Can't agree with anything red.

My choice is somewhat skewed by my complete and utter hatred of the SNP so whilst I normally vote Liberal I shall be voting tactically to try and oust the Snazis from sunny Midlothian.

Not Rovers related, should be moved to general chat. Whilst I agree (and there is a General Election thread already there) today is the last day to register to vote so anything that raises awareness is good. Please take the time to register if you haven't already and please vote. If you dislike the politicians and are thinking of not voting out of protest, you would be better off voting for an independent candidate or deliberately spoiling your ballot instead.

Nobody can see who you voted for so try and be honest. The mods can. No, they can't.

You'd be seriously deluded to believe that mainstream media don't twist stories, especially political ones to fit their agenda.

He said he condemns all bombing. Give the man a break, you'll be asking him to condemn shooting of people next and then where will that end? Condemnation of punishment beatings, extortion?

Film, media and news can choose to contextualize any sound bite however they choose. An extreme example is that I could lift a quote from you on this forum and use it completely out of context and you could lose your job or marriage. If someone reading it had no idea that it was part of a running joke, or clearly a comment made in jest the wrong message could easily be spun against you. I refuse to believe you cannot see that the media has just as much terrible bias as political parties themselves.

I refuse to believe you cannot see that the media has just as much terrible bias as political parties themselves. Ever heard of the Ems Telegram? I agree with you in general, Michael Moore's film about George W Bush had some careful edits regarding a veteran's comments. Sources (whether primary or secondary), bias, confirmation should all be carefully assessed and don't accept a single source as proof. Ask yourself, why are they saying this and what are they really meaning? I appreciate many feel the mainstream media are biased and prefer to validate using social media, but at least with MSM you know the reporter, what their background is and can keep things in context. With social media the primary source is quickly lost, group members may share similar views so confirmation bias quickly sets in. In this example though I don't see how it could be seen as anything other than a refusal to single out the IRA, someone who prides himself in being different yet using politician's language in being very careful.

It was on Sky News, who are currently dissecting the clarification/u-turn of the Social Care plans announced in the Conservative manifesto.

Isn't the fire breather loosing popularity quickly though, cant believe her comments on winter fuel payments, as in they wont be cut if we pay , we already pay for free education in scotland, think it's time the government worked out the cost of it and removed it from their funding. If the buffon got independence from the uk ,she would be the first to start blubbering like a spoilt child if the uk did not send em a penny. to me independence means total withdrawal not being independant and begging for funding from the rest of the uk etc

Nobody can see who you voted for so try and be honest. The mods can. not on these free boards, but if you host the forum yourself there are patches available to allow it
