What a sad day. Most were just children! Just poor little innocents. My heart goes out to all those Brothers/Sisters/Fathers/Mothers/Grandparents/Friends who will never ever get over the losses.

So, Op Temperer looks as though it will be activated. This is the ruling that allows for the Military to be deployed onto the streets of the UK. I'm not sure I agree with this, for several reasons. One, the Military are not trained, nor equipped, to do this. Two, what will be the ROE for the troops. God forbid we actually have an incident where some poor soldier is up in court for manslaughter/murder. Let's not forget that government's are very quick to prosecute the troops. Three, Leave will once again be cancelled for many soldiers. They will forgo their family holidays, with probably no recompense for either any travel agency, nor the government. Despite being away from home, the soldier will not receive an additional penny for the work, nor will they get paid overtime. Four, it does NOTHING to stop the terrorists. They will just move to an easier target, of which there are too many to list.

It's now being reported that the murderer returned from Libya only a matter of 'days ago'. This points out then that the bomb was manufactured by somebody else. So, no Lone Wolf attack. There is someone out there with the technical ability to make working devices, and no doubt is instructing others at the same time. This is probably the reason for the high state of security.

Have to agree with some of the reservations re: armed forces on the streets to be honest. Doesn't make people feel safer either particularly.
Also cuts into their own numbers (the army) as well, which can never be good. You'd think they'd leave enough coppers in jobs to deal with a crisis like this.

There seem's to be a pattern here. 22-05-13 lee rigby 22-03-16 Brussels attack 22-07-16 Munich attack 22-03-17 London attack 22-05-17 Manchester attack 22-07-17 Bristol harbour festival is 22-07-17 how heavily policed will that event now be ?

Someone at work pointed that out to me earlier. The only logical explanation I could think of is that these radicalised arseholes who carry out the attacks normally operate alone or with a very small group, so by carrying them out on the same dates links the attacks and seems to fit them into a network so it all seems linked.

Still fuming over this, although i'm no fan of the police, why can't people get their heads around it wasn't the police or governments fault, there could have been a million officers on the beat backed up by the military and this stuff would still happen, FFS cant believe corbyn blame the current government, it was one of yours who started this you twat.
The real issues is the laws that protect us from over zealous judges ,politicians and lazy coppers. those laws work well for us and even better against us. The answer is deportation and removal of citizenship, he was of dual citizenship so remove his families passports and send em home, even those born and breed here once the commit to supporting these movements remove their passport and send them to a country that lives they way they want. Bring back some of the best punishments for terrorist let them be hung drawn and quartered, or if that seems too much then shoot to main them permanently so the spend the rest of their lives in prison in a wheelchair (they wont be so called martyrs then) , take away their rights to be treated as equals on conviction.
The thing is we cannot and will not beat them by playing mr nice guy whilst waving the geneva convention and smiling whilst saying at least we follow the convention. we need to get medieval on their arses and fight fire with fire. Lets face it they do what they do safe in the knowledge that if the get caught they get sent to the big house for a little while, treated like celebrities by their peers and kept separate from the general population, protected only to be allowed out again. those returning from helping isis and others instead of being interviewed and either locked up or released send em back from whence they came.
I can't for the life of me believe that people believe (corbyn amongst others) believe that they can solve this by talking, if someone is willing to blow themselves up then im damn sure they wont be changed by talking to them.
why weren't people searched on entering the venue, you read about people going to concerts and being thoroughly searched with food and drinks being confiscated so why weren't those searches in place, again why wasn't everyone funneled through a metal detector. I cant for the life of me fathom people out quick to stand up and shout when stuff happens but even quicker to condemn anything bought in to thwart these terrorists.
One thing that does make me proud to be an englishman living in Britain is this the courage and resolve of the people when this stuff happens, a lot of people abroad run from attacks, but we tend to do the opposite, we run toward the attacks and help those caught up in it, this has been seen time and time again in Great britain straight in to help those affected, Make you proud to be british.
The other thing is people don't panic over here at the threat of attacks as unfortunately we have a long history of attacks in GB , even to the point of books delivered from the government advising what to do if we were nuked. As Churchill said We will never surrender

Just watching the benefit concert on BBC1.
Shame some of the acts are using it to promote certain things on their hoodies. Robbie Williams promoting Justin Beiber's world tour....Pharell Williams advertising a bike shop in New York. Looking forward to the next advertisement.
Cracking world we live in.
