I think boredom is setting in a bit earlier what with our season finishing sooner than the last few seasons. I might take an extended break for a month or so on here, I doubt ill miss much. Yeah that's not a bad shout last minute, but if you ban yourself for a month it will be like going to a titty bar. You can look but you can't touch! You have been going to the wrong titty bars my friend

Adam le Fondre has left Cardiff ... spent a lot of time on loan at Bolton but still based just over the bridge.
Aged 30 years old ....
Remember him being very good as a striker ....

If DC is really going to make 11 or 12 signings that he says he wants then to have his squad in place in time for pre-season friendlies he needs to make two signings a week between now and the 8 July. I'd be surprised if he can do this and we will end up looking for 4 or 5 loans in the week or two before the season starts.

Let's be positive there will be offers on the table now for his targets, all they need is a medical, he could sign all 12 over two days, like you I am not very patient but I have faith in DC, he will measured by his signings, I want quality over quantity, ready made starters not additional squad players apart from the fact we have no goal keeper, Rush backs anyone?!

Would it be acceptable to you windy if DC made only one signing one week, but three signings the next week? Please let that be acceptable.

Over an eleven day period they could announce a signing a day. Is that not similar to the drip feeding of signings rovers normally announce these days.

All I was doing is pointing out that if DC wants to add 11 or 12 players in time for pre-season friendlies then time is running out. I'd be surprised if he can do it but hope I'm wrong. I suspect we will see some last minute signings or a batch of loans coming in a week or two before the season starts to make-up the numbers.

I don't think there's a chance in hell that we'll get 10/11 new players in for the start of preseason, but I also don't see that as a major issue.
That's a hell of a lot of new players we're bringing in compared to the average summer transfer window, and if the players we want to add are of a decent level (which we obviously hope they will be) then they're likely to have more options than just Bristol Rovers.
If we were to have no competition for the 10/11 players we wanted and managed to get them all in for the start of training, then I'd be more worried than excited tbh.

Why is there "no chance in hell" of DC getting 10/11 players? If Darrel has said he wants 10/11 players then he will probably get 10/11 players. There is plenty of them out there, it wouldn't suprise me if Darrel had 35+ targets.

Mansfield have already signed 11 players, I don't see why we can't do the same in time for our first pre season game, or at least get the majority signed up. It's only the 28th May and our first friendly isn't until the 8th July.

I think they've sh** themselves because they were worried Steve Evans would go to Swindon so they've let him spend what he wants. Either the players they've signed aren't very good or they've paid over the odds because if they were any good they've got plenty of time to wait and see what other offers are on the table.

I think it's a bit like the political manifestos; it's an aspiration and not a pledge!

I was basically making the point there is plenty of time to get the signings in. I'm confident we'll have the majority in by the time we play Yate on July 8th. As for Blackpool they've made some decent signings for that level like Mellis, Diamond, Logan and Anderson.

As Exeter sadly didn't make it out of League 2 today, what do we think the chances are of luring Ollie Watkins up the Gloucester Rd?

Thinking about it, I'm confident DC will make a signing before we get an update from Wael and Hamer on UWE but I think we will hear something about UWE before DC has signed his 11 or 12 targets.

Hi I am MR WAEL and just to let you know we can't reach a suitable agreement with uwe so now no more speculation we must look at other options so please be patient and we could have some news in the near future if DC stays we got a good budget for him to bring in what he needs so we can push on for promotion UTG
