Crazy people! Why on earth do they think we should strengthen the team, don't they understand it's all about evolution not revolution. We can sell our top goal scorer with no need to replace him and still compete for a play off place. All our rivals have got it wrong strengthening their team in the window ready for the promotion push. What's wrong with them don't they get it! #deluded I can't remember any evolution going backwards?? I better get my flippers out of the garage if I'm wrong... |

Rumours are we're in talks of another loan spell...let's hope so as he has massive potential just came here when everyone was flying on all cylinders.... He's gone to the Posh. Not better than Harrison, Gaffney, James or Easter in my opinion. Can't see anywhere that he's gone to the posh? |

We sell our top striker and we haven't got a plan b!!! Same old sh** just new owners..really feel the bubble has burst.. All the support everyone has given home and away seems to be chucked back in our face...so now away support will drop along with home attendance leaving us even less money to buy non league players?  Don't agree how taylor left but you can see why as he knew the board won't be ambitious and bring in the players to get championship football...give it one more season and unless they dig deep in the summer dc will be looking for another club... |

After this fiasco I can see dc wanting to go and being frustrated with the club not doing their bit financially...but we can't be a great choice for players to come here on loan etc as you can't be guaranteed first team football even if you play well!!!

Things look dire as in players coming in...why we haven't got the players dc wanted as he knew as well as the other staff taylor would be gone this window...miller doesn't seem to be signing to anyone til the summer which is a gamble for him as he's 27 and if he goes off the ball then his stock will take a fall, we should have the money there now to buy someone decent enough to do a job? Everyone else is on the ball...fed up of watching the screen and seeing everyone in our league and league 2 signing players...we'll be lucky with some left on the shelf young inexperienced loan players that are like rabbit in the headlights!!!!!

Taylor was gonna go anyway, he wanted out last season but couldn't get the right deal off anyone...if he's gone for that then yeah it's not great but he was gonna go for nothing so we have made £300,000 or more and we had 19 goals better off...it's not end of world

he's gone now and I don't want a player that could have a personality That thinks going that way is the norm!!! He could have gone to Cardiff which has more chance of premiership football than the sh**e...really hope they go down and we went up....there's life without taylor...he was pretty bad in the last month in my opinion and should have scored more than he did and penalties have helped his career this season...I'm more happy so far bodin is staying and if we can get miller and lambo I'd be over the moon...let's hope this gives the lads more determination to push on...but we need to get someone in rather than wait til the summer!!!! Come on you blues

I thought Swindon were terrible..but I do think everyone for once consistently were defending well and cutting down the angles and options for them to play...I had a quick glance at the Swindon fans match thread and their going nuts saying they can't afford to have too many light weights in midfield and I thought Charlie Colketts game showed why he couldn't get in our team..him and Goddard looked the best players out there for them but for me still to fancy and not productive enough

So I've just bought a dog and noticed it likes a good chew... I spotted a robin toy with their badge on its chest...and love to sit there watching him have a really good go on it...also great divert from the furniture but I have the dilemma of giving lansdown £6 of my money...is it worth it? ?? |

So seems we are in the throws of leaving it too late to get what we want and not enough money in the budget to buy what we need...
It's a case of crossing toes/fingers and whatever else we can from now on and possibly settle for mid to low table spot in my opinion...
Budget of £400,000
£100,000 on a non league defender and another loan signing...
I'm guessing £300,000 doesn't get you much and Darryl needs money for the summer out of that too???
I have mixed emotions of feeling we have to strike while the iron is hot
And another feeling of finiancially we're punching above our weight of where we are in the league anyway...
£400,000 budget is exactly what we made off the Chelsea game so I guess we have to feel lucky we had that revenue this year...but I still feel we should have more put in the pot..the gate reciepts are the highest it's been since a long time but I also realise keeping Matty taylor would have been expensive too and I can't see him going until the end of the season...
We do need a few more signings to strengthen the squad and I'm very surprised no one has gone yet except gosling on loan as players are being left out of the squad at the moment???

If our keepers have cost us 10+ Pts, I believe Lockyer has cost us 10+ pts. He causes some debate in my house. Get him out the team or at least take that pointless captaincy of him. Why do you even need a captain in football. Hartley is the defense organiser when he plays. Speak up Thomas. We can't hear you. I should imagine Darryl first and foremost is shocked by the form of tom this year...I'm very shocked how he hasn't performed to his level he played last year...his player awareness of who he's marking/his aerial quality and his constant thumping the ball back to the opposition after everyone working hard to get it back or retain it is beyond me...I'm hoping it's a bad patch but it has been going on for a while...I don't think the captaincy hasn't helped him and he needs to be dropped the same as lines/Roos/Ollie Clarke/gaffney etc have been if their form has dipped...but I wouldn't blame him for defeats as it's not as if everyone else has been playing to their own good levels.. We miss leads in my opinion...is he injured? |

Yesssssss , we've found our new scapegoat ! 11 posts says it all... I love the fact as soon as someone has an opinion of what their thinking and feeling about a player or formation certain people on here think your picking on someone or blaming him for a loss etc!!!! That's what this site is for...fans opinions and how they feel about the club or manager or players...if they didn't put how they honestly felt then you might as well shut it down... Football is a business to the players manager and chairman and if someone isn't pulling their weight or meeting expectations then their dropped or laid off!! Always the structure in any walk of life... Everyone gets carried away dreaming players have done their bit for the club to get them where we are now and they have done 10 fold but if their not up to it consistently then it's time for them to be dropped and it isn't their god given right to be picked because they've been part of our promotions... I don't think anyone here is blaming just one person for goals or losses...their just expressing their opinion! |

Getting back to Ellis...I've just seen his interview and very glad to see how grown up he was about it..glad he realises it was just a cracking game he had and knows there's a lot more to do to keep him at the club..his training performances must be good as well as he's been getting picked even when he's not been on form..hope he sees what he has to do now to mould himself into a good player..Northampton where shocking Saturday and I don't think anyone expected that so I really hope he goes on to prove himself against in form teams now...
