Because, it's important to go abroad to play a game with a team in the same country as you.

Couple of assists, created chances. Hit the post, hit the bar. All that in the last 4 months of the season, with the expectation on his shoulders after the snake leaving - I say he did okay. Lemme just remind you. Other than the 4 goals against Northampton, Harrison scores just 4 goals in the league in the entire season. 4. Gaffney scored 6 in the league in the entire season. 6. The whole season is 8 months, James has barely 4. He was quite unlucky to get off the mark. I thought good things of him when he scored against Swansea in pre-season. Fantastic goal. Think if he started from the start, with his confidence high after a great pre-season for him, he'd be banging them in. So other than some goals you dont want to count Ellis was still better than James? Just saying that James was unlucky, and I dont rate Harrison at all.

The situation is - We have just 15 players. We need 22 to start both games. For both, we also need at least 3 substitutions, or the game simply doesn't go ahead. Meaning, we need 28 players.
Meaning, in the next two weeks we need to sign/loan 13 players. Or, we need to re-arrange one of the games.
So, DC wanted 10 or 11 in 3 months. He needs to sign 13 in 2 weeks.
Pretty sure our U23 (or whatever it's called) squad would be able to fill in. Yeah, true.

Everton had a failed bid in January, and are looking to sign him up again now. We have no chance.

Some good suggestions. The fact is in less than three weeks time we have two pre season friendlies on the same day and nowhere near enough players to field two teams at the same time. There has to be a lot of work done in the next two weeks - an almost unbelievable amount of work to be done in fact!!! No positive news from the club on any front including the stadium tbh is disappointing. The situation is - We have just 15 players. We need 22 to start both games. Didn't make any mistakes though, did he? Not scoring is not a mistake, before you lot say it is. What are the generally accepted requirements of a striker? How many did James meet? Looked around, and he/she's got quite alot of rovers content
Found it by this video. Wanted to see Joe Lumley's saves. Didn't expect anything since literally noone does these kind of videos, not for us anyway
his two latest videos dont have watermarks, but the rest does

How many Games has Harrison played and not contributed anything... except getting his kit dirty from throwing himself to the ground? Ellis has contributed more in the last 3 years than James has. Even if you think Ellis goes missing 2 games out of 3, he still offers more of a threat than James, who troubled the net 0 games out of 3. It's disappointing that everything comes back to poor old Ellis though. James is utterly woeful but if people must insist on comparing the 2 players it's laughable that anyone would not agree that Ellis has given us more. It's becoming a witch-hunt. Didn't make any mistakes though, did he? Not scoring is not a mistake, before you lot say it is.

Now, the clubs can pounce.
Earlier, I made a thread on him & people agreed he'd be good - a young central defender that scores - what DC goes for.
Now he's rejected oxford - Are we one of the "several" league one side interested & will we sign him?

Just my opinion but he is lightweight, goal shy, and our worst striker last season. He may work hard but there is little end product,as always hope i'm wrong but don't i rate him at all. Think Harrison is worse.. imo

Second person to ask this. The first time I thought it was a troll. Since a couple actually wonder, no. I'm not "Wes." Why not? Because Wes is not I.

The sun had it reported in the region of £350,000...hence him coming down for talks with Oxford. Barnsley have also shown interest and other clubs may now show a hand now talks have started. Would Rovers pay that sort of money ? Would a 21 year old help next season ? Would he travel all the way from Scotland ,turning down other clubs to play at the MEM ? Maybe the draw of Englands most terraced stadium or the ground with more different stands than any other is too much to resist ! Ryan Sweeney was 20 & he helped.

..possibly.
In the interview with him when he signed, the person questioning him said there was an option to buy him after the loan, which, I'm guessing would be a cut price than if anyone else wanted him. So surely a take it or leave it. With reports that we've signed him and the owner confirming that a bid has been accepted for him, & now its down to personal terms, surely it's us? He was spotted in Bristol yesterday, too..

"He is a ‘modern-day’ centre-back: self-assuredness, poise, technique, tall, powerful, good in the air, good on the deck, and he can score goals - seven so far this season. He has been a key component, whether in a back four or back three, of Thistle’s breakthrough into the top six and their highest finish since 1981. A striker eyeing him up may see easy-meat. They soon find out they are wrong. He is quick and strong, he possesses a tremendous leap and an intelligence which suggests he has more than 250 games under his belt." "It would be understandable, for a defender of his age, to be prone to bouts of recklessness or the odd blunder. Not for Lindsay. The future is bright." www.scotsman.com/sport/football/competitions/premiership/the-12-best-centre-backs-in-scottish-football-right-now-1-4431172/ampSounds like a good young player, & sometimes we play 3 at the back.. I think a bit too late for us though. They've accepted a £250,000 bid for him. Would be a fantastic signing though by the sound of him.
