A soil test is normally to establish if there is any contamination which would require remediation whereas a trial pit is to determine the sub surface strata to inform foundation design. Given that it is located in former marsh land do you mean the latter as I’m not aware that there has been any heavy industry on the site which would require the former? There was certainly heavy industry on the site. It was formerly St Phillips Marsh locomotive sheds. Two large roundhouses and a straight road repair workshops and large sidings. Spot-on, Bideford. I worked on the cast-iron drainage pipework at the Fruit Market. The "soil" was very easy to dig, being all loose shale and cinder, but there was a big problem in supporting the pipework as you proceeded. Then, if it rained, the stuff would all be washed back into the trench. There was quite a depth of the stuff before you hit anything resembling earth.

Like Paddy Lane striker/winger at Fleetwood tidy player. Would cost some cash though. Paddy Lane sounds more like an address! Leading to a field of rice.

I believe that the majority of us recognise that there will be consequences as a result of the pitch invasion, even more so if the young Scunthorpe goalkeeper was assaulted. No one can rightfully condone or seek to minimise the actions of a minority of supporters. If Gas had been on the receiving end of such actions and our keeper been assaulted, we would rightly be screaming for action by the FA. Scunthorpe fielded a very young team. There were understandable concerns regarding the players safety. There are also reports of concerns that Gas had "an unfair advantage" by knowing the result at Barrow when the game was resumed. A truly memorable day in the history of BRFC. It's unfortunate that others may remember it for other reasons. I have seen in a few places (other forums)that our fans new exactly what they were doing and ran on the pitch so we would know the Northampton result and then know if we needed another goal or not. What a total load of horseshit,it was pure jubilation and I bet not 1 of the idiots had that thought in their heads. Unfortunately, not just other forums, but suggested by a pundit on national television.

Reasons why, if you ran onto the pitch after goal no.7, you are a :
1/ Elliot Anderson was violently knocked backward to the ground. He could have been injured. That would have looked good (not).
2/ Stopping the game when Rovers had such momentum was ridiculous.
3/ The possibility of a Scunthorpe goal on resumption might have entered players' minds, affecting their play.
4/ The pundit on Quest complained, on Northampton's behalf, that, because of the hold-up Rovers knew the final score at Barrow before the resumption, and were able to bring on defenders for the final minutes. That really detracts from what should be real joy at the amazing result.,
5/ There will be repercussions. Hopefully just a fine - but will you be pleased to have cost Rovers money by your actions? If any of our games next season have to be played behind closed doors you will be responsible. That won't endear you to us real supporters.
Having said all that, if you are under 8 years old I forgive you. If anyone on here knows someone who ran on after goal 7, please read this to them - I doubt they are capable.

They absolutely SHOULD win. But this is football and you always get drama - if Northampton win, then fair play to them tbf. But I have a funny feeling it won't be easy and they may draw OMFG roll on Saturday.... Buzzing!!!! And literally sh*tting my pants Same here. It’s going to be a long and difficult week trying to concentrate on the normal things like work , family etc when all we can think about is Saturday. Literally? Think the pair of you should check your dictionary - then possibly change those pants.

I was there. I seem to recall that after the cup was presented, the table it was displayed on was left on the pitch. I took my chance along with one or two kids and jumped on the table just in time for the Evening Post photographer to snap us. I was proud to see the next day I was on the front page of the paper, front centre of the crowd, and taller than all of them courtesy of the table. Or maybe it was the Green 'Un? Anyway, I was famous and that's all that matters. Nah. It must have been the table. The Green Un was only about an eighth of an inch thick.

I've been to two after a talking to from my family, I've got tickets for two more. I'm feeling weird to be honest, I genuinely don't know if I'm doing the right thing for my own mental health, as I seem to be arguing constantly with myself.
That said I hope of course I'm looking at League 1 football next season. Are both of you hoping for League 1, or just the one? Discuss. Badengas - apologies. I thought that your health comment was a throwaway exaggeration, hence what was supposed to be a light-hearted reply. Sorry if it was hurtful, definitely not intended.

I'm starting to get more confident, I think port vale away we will maybe draw, but quietly confident on the others. Be nice to get Evo and Anderson back, The Gas are coming! Evans return will be welcome but Elliot Anderson played that role for most of the game yesterday so we might keep him in that position? Saw lots of the ball and affected things more I thought than when he plays on the left.Nice ‘problem’ to have mind the kid is outstanding.T.Clarke was decent as well considering he’s been out so long, would personally favour Grant playing there if available.Maybe start Thomas next game in place of Nicholson who seems off the pace a bit to me. Agree with all of that. Sammy Nicholson worked hard yesterday, but seems to have lost that edge of confidence in his play. Thomas looked well up for it when he came on. Seems to me that the deciding factor in our run-in will be scoring goals. We are dominating games - including the ones we have recently lost, but our finishing is lacking. Five decent chances in the first half yesterday, but not one of them produced a finish that could even be regarded as "unlucky".
