Centre Backs; Connor Stevens (Wealdstone), Ted Nelson (Whitstable Town), Jake McCarthy [or CDM] (Weymouth), Sam Larkins (Clevedon Town), Kofi Balmer (Ballymena United), Caolan Marron (Glenavon)
Wingers; Brad Lynch (Colne), Teshuane Tyreece-Walters (Greenwich Borough), Seb Bowerman (Bracknell Town), David Ajiboye (Worthing), Shaquille Leachman-Whittingham, (Redditch Utd), David Carson (Morpeth Town), Antonio Diaz (Dorchester), Jonathan Lacey [or ST](Berkhamsted), Luke Roberts [or ST] (Poole Town), Jack Blackford (Marske Utd), Ricky Korboa (Carshalton Athletic), Jack Wilson [or CM] (Haverfordwest County), Jordy Mongoy (Hastings Utd), Owen Windsor (Cirencester Town), Ryan Carmichael (Portadown)

Already had trials at Charlton and Middlesborough after forcing his way into Tooting's side, good talent.

Abraham Odoh also trialled at Charlton and Junior Timite (although not sure to which club).

I'm actually wondering if one of the players that Coughlan is in conversation with is Coventry's right back Jack Grimmer? Leaving them when his contract expires in the summer so would be available on a free and I think he's an improvement on anything we have. From what I know he's highly rated by Coventry fans but for whatever reason simply hasn't made the starting 11 this year. I'm sure he's on Widdrington's radar as he loves a Coventry player.
Also as a replacement to Bonham, I'd love to see us sign Jay Lynch from AFC Fylde. He's their player of the year, even ahead of the divisions top scorer Danny Rowe and watching Fylde in the playoffs has really impressed me. Hargreaves was at the Fylde vs Harrogate game so he'll know about him I'm sure.

Btw on the topic of players/scouting, I'd like to see us keep eyes on the market in Scotland and Ireland. The latter in particularly as Preston have shown there's tonnes of great players in the Irish league, available for cheap and would likely be willing to come to us due to location, league status and probable pay rise. One Scottish player I'd LOVE us to go after is Lawrence Shankland at Ayr. Scored 29 in 33 last season and so far has 28 in 24. Just recently turned down a move to the Belgian second tier and said he's "motivated by game time, not money" so perhaps something we could offer that Championship clubs can't. Either way, probably out of our league but hell of a goalscorer. Haven't you heard? Our scouting radius only extends 100m outside of the Ricoh Arena But perhaps that’s better than being 100m outside of Salisbury FC as many used to say. UTG!

If we don't secure Bonham on a permanent deal then David Stockdale would be a good option if he leaves Birmingham this summer and his wages were realistic and he was willing. He impressed on short loan spells at Wycombe, Southend and Coventry this season. In total in League One he has kept 7 clean sheets from 14 games and in League Two 25 clean sheets from 54 games.

I'm hearing 20-year-old striker Alex Battle has been released by Plymouth Argyle. He could be worth a trial for the development squad. In half a season he got 20 goals for their reserve side in the South West Peninsula League during 18/19. Last summer he was training with Bolton Wanderers, a club he had trained with previously. However with Bolton already in a dispute with their current players over unpaid wages were unable to agree a youth compensation fee with Argyle. He contributed to wining the Youth Alliance League and promotion to the Peninsula Premier League in 2015-16 season. Battle has proven to be a consistent goal scorer in both the Youth Alliance/Merit League and Peninsula League over the years. www.falmouthpacket.co.uk/sport/17316910.swpl-premier-highlights-falmouth-town-0-3-plymouth-argyle/

Sorry pirate I was only kidding after your "if this" and "if that". I'd say it's unlikely as if he were to leave Brum then I'd say there'd be plenty of suitors for him at bigger clubs than us. Millwall, Bolton or similar I can see signing him.

Definitely worth an enquiry if we don't get Bonham, although I could see him rejoining Cov as he might want to stay in the Midlands after recently joining the board of directors at non-league side Droitwich Spa. www.worcesternews.co.uk/sport/17460951.birmingham-city-david-stockdale-reveals-droitwich-spa-plans/

A player I like in the National League North is Matty Warburton at Stockport County who can play as a centre forward, in a wider role in a three or as a ‘Number 10’. He joined County after scoring 13 goals in 16 appearances for Curzon Ashton and last season he scored 21 goals in 45 appearances to help fire County into the end-of-season Play Offs. Got 17 goals in all comps so far this season. Good technically, an eye for goal off both feet and a free kick specialist. Won the goal of the season award for County and had two others in the running 4 goals on Sat v Truro, including 2 good finishes with left foot Free kick v Yeovil HITC Sport understands a host of Football League clubs are chasing Stockport sensation Matty Warburton. A number of League One and League Two clubs are weighing up moves for prolific Stockport County star Matty Warburton, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club. www.hitc.com/en-gb/2019/01/21/por-clubs-circle-for-stockport-star-warburton/Northampton Town. www.thenationalleague.org.uk/warburton-moves-on-up-as-stockport-striker-gets-ef-56799www.ntfc.co.uk/news/2019/may/matty_warburton/
