Mercato - Bristol Rovers to test young French goalkeeper Alexis André Jr
GOAL INFO - Past by Dijon a few months ago, young French goalkeeper Alexis André Jr will be tested by Bristol Rovers (English D3). Free to join the club of his choice after a year-long adventure at the Nike Academy, the young French goalkeeper Alexis André Jr (20) will take the lead of Bristol Rovers for a week-long trial with Club of English D3. James Rodriguez, the Paris surprise at the initiative of Matt Murray, the Nike Academy goalkeeper coach, the native of Mulhouse's test will start on Monday and could end in a friendly opposition on Saturday, July 8th. The opportunity for Alexis André Jr to show himself in a match situation. In France, Dijon has seen it at work Passed by Strasbourg, Vauban or Schiltigheim, Alexis André Jr has been proposed to several clubs in recent months. Dijon tested it at the end of April, but the timing dictated by the future of Baptiste Reynet did not play in favor of a signature. Laurent Weber, Dijon's goalkeeper coach, appreciated his move, but no professional contract was offered to the player thereafter. Same trial with Leeds United (D2 English) and Bury (D3 English) where he also carried out a trial. Alexis André Jr arrives at Bristol Rovers with the ambition to prove himself in a club that has lost Kelle Roos, Will Puddy and Joe Lumley, his three goalkeepers the past season.

That's the thing with keepers tho, Roos & Nichols looked great warming up, but crumbled during games Goalkeeping is a state of mind as well as ability. One mistake can haunt your career. For a young lad Lumley seemed mentally strong.

Quite excited by this lad don't think he's a first team player due to lack of experience at league 1 level but certainly one to watch in the future. Sign up on a 2 year deal stick him out on loan in the lower leagues for experience think we could have a decent keeper at the end of it
