Lost interest in UWE personally. Been going on far too long now. I hope if nothing is announced before first game of the season at the mem, that They don't have those artistic impressions of UWE hanging above the bar.. Would you rather us commit to a bad deal with UWE in the interest of time and jeopardise the future prospects of the club? I have every faith in Wael and recognise the protracted discussions are in the best interests of Bristol Rovers. You can rest assured that lots of work will be going on behind the scenes as a stadium rebuild/redevelopment was central to their takeover plans. Patience is needed. I swear people like you have been saying this for the past 9 years.

I have no doubt that Wael and all of Bristol Rovers are working as hard as possible to push this one through. Not a doubt. My doubt lies with UWE holding things up as much as possible. Also the move to hold their courses at trashton seemed a strange move to. Out city rivals are more affiliated with the university than we are. Read somewhere on here, probably on the 80+ page uwe thread that they received financial planning advice from Pantsdown. Maybe I'm overly suspicious and cynical but they have hardly conducted themselves giving the impression that they are totally with us in this one.

Out of interest how can we be "rest assured" when nobody seems to have a clue what's going on, the closer we get to the August deadline, is the 1st or 31st?, the less likely a deal now looks.

I'm happy to wait until we all find out together, as knowing something and not being able to tell everybody would do my head in, but thanks for asking anyway.

Not talking about Wael. Talking about since the whole "stadium" thing properly started, around 9 years ago. We've been delaying it for so many years now.

More like 3 decades, if this does all end in tears I think I'll give up ever hoping to see us play in a decent stadium. Although on the flip side that opening league game at the UWE will take some beating if it ever takes place.

To be fair, Wael and his team clearly put the brakes on the original deal for a good reason. What matters more than anything is that it's the right move for us. If that takes more time, so be it.
