I'm not really sure why we praise players for putting in 100% effort. Shouldn't that be an absolute minimum requirement anyway? It should be. But it's not always the case in the modern game full of money grabbing, fame chasing prima donnas. I don't disagree, but people using it to excuse the shambles that was James at Rovers is weak.

Good luck to him. It didn't work out for us but I felt he gave it a good shot. Sometimes it works out that way and I wish him all the best for the future.

Like I said earlier ,forwards are judged on goals but his performances besides that were good and thought he did well with the ball and had a good turn of pace. He could of come down here with a can't give a f**k attitude but he diddnt , some of the vitriol spouted on here sometimes rather wateres me off.

I really wish him the best of luck at FGR. He didn't get much here to be fair to him. I do believe he improved us defensively after Taylor left as he worked a lot harder. People have short memories and I remember after the Bolton game where Ellis came off injured and James come on, people were saying how much better we looked when he did come on.

He could easily score 15+ goals at that level. All the best to him. Can't fault his effort. If he hardly ever even looked like scoring in league 1 then I fail to see how he could easily score 15+ goals in the league below. Good luck to him.

And yet, he scored 16 goals as a teenager in 2013/14, including 2 against us. He has clearly lost his mojo but who's to say he can't get it working again?

I think he'll have a good season back in league 2, it's the level he belongs at.. at least for now. Good luck to him

I haven't said you did, I just think your comments along with some others on here are wide of the mark, we've had much worse play for us and escape such criticism, whilst I would be the first to admit the lad should've scored and at this present time going forward for next season James wasn't the answer but he was far from a shambles as he did contribute to our on field performances

Joe Kuffour was 5'5" and had the skill of a Brazilian and the strength of a Nightwalker! Yet he still couldn't trap a bag of cement, let alone a football, his speed and strength got him out of many situations not his skill in my opinion

I think he did look like scoring though, he just didn't have any luck and it didn't go in for him. It would be ridiculous to say that if he had more luck then he would've score 15-20 goals, but he could've quite easily had a couple had fortune been on his side. And sometimes one or two goals is all it takes for someone to regain a bit of form and find their scoring boots again.

I agree, someone should've offered him the chance to take a pen to get him off the mark. Who knows what deluge of goals may have followed?

I have no problems with people being vegan it's their choice and Forest Green are of no significance to me, as someone else stated they are not are rivals so I couldn't care less about them. My problem is their owner Mr Stale Mince, I saw a programme on them on HTV or Sky I can't remember which. Stale just try's to ram the whole vegan thing down everyone's throats, from electric cars, sustainable engery to vegan food for all the staff can you imagine how that would go down at the Mem? I know everyone moans about the pies / pasties but it would cause a meltdown if we weren't allowed them in the stadium! Jon Parkin how the hell did he sustain that frame eating a few nut rissoles? Probably burger kings best customer after training. So Mr Mince get on with trying to save the planet on your own and leave us pasty lovers alone!

I have no issue with people's beliefs and the way they went to live their lives (as long as they're not causing any harm to others), but I hate it when people try and force their beliefs down people's throats. It's not surprising that they have to throw big money around on wages to attract players, anyone in the right mind wouldn't choose them over another club offering the same wages surely.

O Riordan only worse player. At least LJ worked unlike the aforementioned total waste of space. Both though very poor and too lightweight.

Worked hard for us. Hope he can turn things around for himself at Forest Green but will stop short of wishing them lot any luck as a whole.
