Judging by the traffic chaos around Downend and Frenchay this morning some work has begun on tne ring road viaduct on Bromley Heath Road. So anyone hoping to make it in time for the first home game better leave now. I know it needs doing and mods feel free to move but thought worth a post in case anyone doesn't know or wants to make alternative travel arrangements, car shares etc

Good shout DBG! Busy on a Sunday so will be hopeless in the weekday evenings and Saturdays.
Downend to Staple Hill and on to Fishponds - old school route required!!!
Might have to get the bike out for home games 😀

I remember the route we used to get from Kingswood before the Ring road was built, it won't be any fun at all, and traffic is much worse these days. I'm glad I get the train to football these days.

Yeah, that route took about 45 minutes this afternoon (when it should take about 10). And that's on Sunday. It's gonna be mental tomorrow morning.

And this will go on for years. Current predictions is seven months for completion, originally twelve months until the West of England Metro Mayor threw some of his budget at it. I am more concerned about getting home daily from the business park by UWE than match days

Took me 45 mins to get from the Raj to Willy Wickets roundabout at 16:45 as Cuckoo Lane was closed as well. A year of this god help us.
