How about the Duke, he's a free agent, only 33, still has goals in him. Would love to see him line up for the gas again.

0 goals in 3 years lol and you think he is the answer to our problems!! Ok so he hasn't scored in 30+ appearances but we all know he has it in him. Sorry If I had some romantic vision of him starting his career and finishing with us. Anyway, who said he was the answer to our problems! Lol

Not suggesting we should get the Duke back, but how many games has it been since Brunt scored?
Amazing how such a great finisher can get so bad. How do these players not even find a tap in in 30 games?

To be fair brunty has had some bad luck with injuries, but you are right to a certain degree, if your in the right place, a tap in should be achieveable.

Ahh, the monthly 'bring back the Duke' thread. The bloke is washed-up and a shadow of his former self. Personally, i'd rather have the memories from before.

Why not I'd go to see him he's a legend we are probably not going to see his like for many a year. Maybe he could pull on the quarters and the old magic returns. What a lovely thought to have before I go to bed and dream I'm back at Pride Park.

Still think he could cut it, especially at this level.

Ellington has been on the decline for a long time and has had his chance in the Conference for Southport and failed to score for them and was soon released. Where even is he now?! Quite funny that people are quick to criticise Clarke and then suggest signing a washed up player who appears to be way past his best.

He is right actually, he said he THINKS, so of course he's right in his opinion. Why is it funny people criticise Clarke? its a forum what did you expect?

Maybe Southport wasn't right for him, playing for the Gas again just could bring the best out of him. If I was to criticise Clarke that would be my opinion but just point out to me WHERE I did that, if I did are you sure that I criticised him first and then suggested to sign a washed up Gas legend as you put or was it around the other way, you tell me.
