Can anyone confirm his absence from the squad today was due to being injured or similar?

Strange not to have in the squad after his performance at Charlton.

Would love to hear the reason for him not involved today after making a solid debut away to Charlton when the highest crowd he's played in front of before is probably less than the queue at the pasty hut behind the dribuild cos one was fecking shut

Strange not to have in the squad after his performance at Charlton. Not really as v. unlikely he would be called upon today as sub and Partington a better option on the bench.

Maybe, but Broadbent is as versatile, although Parts has the experience on his side. In reality it made no difference to the result anyway.

Well will be interesting to see the next squad after today ! strange comment to make to be honest as he is more versatile than Partington but we all have opinions !

Sweeney's return is going to restrict Broadbent's opportunities. I think he needs to be patient, but I'd like to think he'll get a fair number of games this season.

Part of me was glad sweeney signed but another wanted to see tom have a run in the team and a chance to be a nigel martyn/paul randall etc etc. Im not convinced leadbitter was fully fit yesterday and that might have edged the subs place in favour of partington?

Anyone remember how successful Larry Lloyd and Stuart Taylor partnership was? - well, how about Sweeney and Broadbent - worth trying?

Said it at the start, and confirmed after yesterday, play the three at the back Locks right Sweeney middle And Tom left better balance and more pace to cover round and behind ! the problem is leaking goals stop that and we are already in a better place !

However he missed his chance because he unwisely decided to join the queue for a pasty before the game. Unfortunately he chose to queue at the very spot behind the East terrace where one of the huts was closed. By by the time he got served the game had started and he missed out. To cap it all he spilled meat and gravy down the front of his jacket and over his tie.
