So we drop our only consistent defender this season in Brown, play Moore at right back even though he had an absolute shocker in a similar role when brought on at Walsall but leave Partington on the bench even though he cost us £80K? We also move Bodin from his favoured position! Where do you see right back in the formation ? Bodin is behind the front two but ahead of midfield....in reality it is a licence to roam along the front line unrestricted. He can sit in his favourite position (though I have not actually been told this by him so will take your word on that) all game if he wishes...or can exploit other gaps.
Partington...like James Clarke are available if a formation change is required or replacement centrebacks are needed. All the bench offer the opportunity to change to other formations if chosen by the boss man.
Like any of this has any bearing on what D.C. will actually do ....if it does...I wanna be on the payroll mr Clarke !

Leads was awful yesterday. Along with many others. At least he offers us an outlet. Something which is inportant in a team which I think is lacking in pace. no point galloping up the pitch to smash the ball out. Yes he's fast but his end product is atrocious! He just doesn't learn!

Pace>Crossing in the modern game. If his crossing was spot on then he wouldn't be a league one footballer.

If you haven't got a right back or right wing back what formation are you intending playing 3-4-1-2, given we can't keep a clean sheet with 4 defenders how are we going to manage it away from home with 3? As far as Bodins favoured position I meant by DC, the one where's he's scored 11 goals in 13 games from at the Mem. With that formation we'd have to hope Bury don't have a decent left winger and full back as if Bodins gone walk abouts then the left winger and the left back will just have to beat Moore on right side of the pitch.

We should only play all the players that havnt been totally slagged off by posters and who our posters have said dont actually need replacing. so the team is
slocombe
broadbent
bodin
Its a 1-1 formation just using the players who havnt been slagged off. Im sure it will work out fine

I'd go with: Smith - give the lad a chance to settle in, if he has a shocker or two, then give Slocombe a go.
Partington - Leadbitter needs a kick up the arse Broadbent - played well in his one game so far and harsh to be dropped, Lockyer needs a kick up the arse Sweeney - we know he has ability, just made a bit of a slow start Bola - not had a chance to show what he can do yet, Brown needs a kick up the arse
Bodin - our biggest threat, has to start Sercombe - arguably our best player so far this season O. Clarke - hopefully can find the form of last season, Sinclair loses position too much to play in a midfield two, Lines needs a kick up the arse Moore - our only actual left winger and apparently had a good pre-season
Gaffney - got to be either him or Harrison for a bit of height and I'd say Gaffers based on the start they've both made Nichols - looked lively so far, would be good to see what he can do with a run in the team. wouldn't mind Telford being given a go either to show what he can do
We've always played best in a 4-4-2 but I hate playing a centre mid on the wing so I think I'd have to start Moore. Would like to see Bola and Telford given a run out to show what they can do. As I have mentioned above, a number of players need a kick up the arse so dropping them could do them good.
