Rovers did some good business in the loan market towards the end of last season’s summer transfer window – all deals which would not have gone through under the new proposals. Kelle Roos: August 24, 2016 – four-month loan from Derby County Connor Roberts: August 25, 2016 – six-month loan from Swansea City Jake Clarke-Salter: August 31, 2016 – season-long loan from Chelsea Charlie Colkett: August 31, 2016 – season-long loan from Chelsea Hiram Boateng: August 31, 2016 – four-month loan from Crystal Palace Head firmly in hands. Not one of them was a successful loan. Bristol Post, f**k off.

Depends how you define 'successful'.

Depends how you define 'successful'. Well there were stronger players in all 5 of those positions.

"all deals which would not have gone through under the new proposals"
Similar would still go though but just done by the start of the season rather than by the end of August?

And yet you repeated the article and even linked it so the BP and their advertisers will be happy.
Job done.

Boteng had a couple of good games and I thought he would be a great signing but he seemed to fade and then couldn't really get in the side. Roberts, unless I've missed something didn't get any chance did he? Unfortunately I can see Bola going the same way, I hope not as we've heard good things about him!

If he did then he would have stayed in the team and been a bloody good player. Roberts, no he wasn't.

Cahrlie Colkett was a successful loan signing for us.
Very good player who turned 1 point into 3 at Northampton and 0 points to 1 at MK Dons with a beautiful couple of assists... These are just off of the top of my head a well, sure there are a few more.

Too many games he went missing though and he was/is too lightweight so needs to bulk up a bit. I hear it was much the same at Swindon but at least he got a relegation on his CV.

He was 19 years old... Easy to forget that, but he was (and is) a kid! Of course he was lightweight! Agree with you he went missing too often and he certainly isn't the finished article! But for me, he added something positive to the squad and won us a couple of game, that alone would surely mean he was a "positive signing"?

Are you some sort of wraith?
