Would seem to fit exactly what they need at the moment. He could bring Broom and Ellis with him, too.

Ideal job for him to start his managerial career.

Probably will give some thought to applying but would be an unwise move with their current owners and the uncertainty that surrounds them.

I'm not surprised they have sacked Nicholson. I thought they made some decent signings at conference level so surprised to see them start so badly.

He would be on a hiding to nothing with that job especially with the money clubs in or coming up to that level.

I know he's good mates with Nicho, so wouldn't be surprised if he asked the question.
I'm not sure if they will go for Manse though as he would be a similar type of appointment to Nicho. Maybe they will go for someone more experienced. I can definitely see Manse as a manager one day though, can imagine players enjoying playing under him, he'll just have to withdraw slightly from being one of the lads still.

Something not right down there, seems like a 'poison chalice' job.

Fair point but if he doesn't do well where do you go after getting sacked by Torquay?

That's a step up isn't it?
Actually I shouldn't say that as they were beating us at home not so long ago!

I would think he will remain at the Gas; working in his academy role and learning his craft under Chris Hargreaves et al. To uproot the family and head back to Turkey on what could turn out to be a fools errand, at this stage of his coaching career may set him back years? UTG

Martin Allen would be a good appointment for them but he never seems to manage far away from London. Would;d have also been a superb appointment for Leyton Orient in their current predicament. Be interesting to see his next job.

As a Torquay fan as well, I think Nicholson did a good job with very little money for him or players. The next manager won't be any better off. Mansell's got a good job here and security. If he wants a challenge then this would be good but Torquay need some experience now to help them get back up.

Ideal job for him to start his managerial career. You could say that, but his best mate got the job and just got sacked. So maybe not!

I think Mansell should stay with us.
He could of kept playing if he wanted to relocate.
Stay, learn his trade- another opportunity will come.
