Is the sky game being shown at the Mem?
I know it won't be quite the same turnout as exclusively watching the beambacks, but it would be a decent crowd there, which should help earn the club some extra revenue.
I would expect a 50/50 draw as well and with fans having access to Pirate Leisure before the game, I would have thought it was a no brainer, but I have yet to see anything advertised.
I would have thought the club could have down a breakfast buffet deal in the boxes.
For anyone in two minds about going somewhere down town i) less chance of trouble ii) no chance of giving money to a unknown S'Ted owner of the establishment.

Stop asking such rational intelligent questions. Get back to the grotto.

I suppose that on the basis that I would try and earn Rovers some money, I shouldn't apply for the Commercial Managers job?
I remember commercial manager Ralph Ellis who sanctioned an extra 1000 away shirts, so in the end they gave away hundreds for free? God knows how much he cost the club.

Bradford at the Mem?
I thought you'd resurrected the topic of the statue!! Now that it looks as if we will be at the Mem for the 'foreseeable future' perhaps it's time to look again at the matter of having a statue of Geoff Bradford at the ground. I must say that the statue of John Atyeo at Ashton Gate is mighty impressive.... surely we could and should have one of GB.

Space is going to be really tight at the New Mem, but plans are nonetheless afoot for a tribute to the great GB.

Beamback at the Mem is going ahead for this game, discounted drinks and a free raffle for a signed shirt for all attendees. No mention on the club site about an entrance fee.

Quite honestly I think its waste of time showing the Bradford game at the Mem. With so many people having SKY in their own homes, why go somewhere where you end up paying? Also, for the last home game, there were big problems with the new set up for showing the highlights after the game. Then, when the highlights were finished, the screen soccer guys couldn't get SKY working again, which meant we missed the live game that was on. So for me, its watching the game from my Sofa with cheap cider and food!

After the Posh debacle, the senior bar staff showed no appetite for this event when asked if it was likely to happen, is it on the Website?

I presume The Annexe will be showing it and that's where I'll be heading.

As long as my granddaughter does not make an early appearance to the world, I will be there to sell 50/50 tickets.

Interesting you should say that because John Atyeo was a regular visitor to Twerton watching Rovers with a President's Club member. He was like most good players a decent man.

As I won't have anything remotely connected to Rupert Murdoch in my home & I don't want to watch it in the company of sh*theads,Chelskis,et al,the Mem is the only option.

What happened to the money raised/ pledges for the Geoff Bradford statue? I recall around £2 grand pledged. Steve Sutor is your man to ask as he was the architect of the plan. He is an honourable guy and had an account especially for the funds raised. He is on Facebook, maybe send him a message and ask for a progress report. I've not seen him in at least a year
