At Altrincham, some old to55er was calling Brunt a lazy C*** all game. I was actually embarrassed, particularly when Brunt was about 10 yards from the bloke at points during the second half. This is a guy who spent his own money on a training/rehab programme in the USA. Lack of effort is inexcusable but I don't think you can label any of this bunch as lazy. Not good enough maybe, but not lazy. Are they not good enough or is Clarke not getting the best out of them? Negativity will get us nowhere, imagine going into work and having to hear everyone moan when things are not going so well. Be positive, we all know it is hard with what we are going through as gasheads but it must be hell for the players to keep their heads up when all is groaning.
Possibly a bit of both.

Ah right, so it's ok to shout at a player sometimes but not all the time. Got it. Also it depends on how you feel. Righto. What are you on about? Excuse this muppet Centenary. Took the advice then I see? Any chance you could reply or debate minus the names? I was on about your post which suggests its ok to shout at a player sometimes and depending on how you feel. Which to me is rather bizarre, but not surprising considering the poster.

No, I said it is ok to shout at a player who we don't think is putting in the effort but it is not ok to shout at a player full stop or especially before match has started.

Well done GGMI! You CAN do it. Why did you single out Anyinsah? It was Harrison before wasn't it...... Have you got an issue with these 2 for any particular reason?

The negativity, whining and bitching makes the football less enjoyable than the football itself. I have a grumble and moan about things but not at a volume where it has any impact on the team. I actually get fed up with all the whining and bitching about the whining and bitching all the effing time which seems to dominate on every thread.

It depends what you are shouting, if it is negative abuse that would be counter productive, if it is positive and you are encouraging the player to try, he might just play better or try a little harder. For example, come on Ellis keep going or try you lazy b###@#d, which is better, I know. Obviously that is no way aimed at Ellis, just an example.
