If for arguments sake Rovers drew Spurs away. Would there be a big interest in the tie from gasheads ? its only the third round after all . With that in mind how many tickets do we think Rovers would sell ? I wonder what the record away crowd for the third round is...or any round bar the semi and final. ?
We took 5000+ on a Tuesday night to St Andrews in the second(?) Round a few years ago when we were league 2 so I don't see why there wouldn't be interest. That was the FA Cup.

Balls ! Bloody draw is tomorrow, up early for no reason whatsoever.
Think ELF is a better name than EFL anyway though.

Don't want to draw the 82'ers - the atmosphere has become too toxic and OTT for it to be enjoyable.

Could be a good opportunity to trouser some serious money. We don't need the money, we're already rich beyond our wildest dreams! :Gulp:

So Stewie just said he's off to China to watch the draw. Either that's a great deadpan watertake, or he really is being flown out there. Wtf? That would be most of his week taken up with a stupid event that could have been done at Reading services.

It's like Christmas eve! Everyone hoping for an Xbox(Man U away) but will be disappointed when we get a lump of coal (Burton away)

It's a tricky one to estimate a away following. It's been so many years since we were in this completion when the kids have been back at school after the summer holidays

LOL perhaps that explains why the club's agreed to the draw taking place in China, an all expenses paid trip for the Chairman (& President?)!!! I can't understand why it doesn't take place at 11 am, which would be 6 pm China time.

re your second sentence - EXACTLY what I was going to write. I can understand that football is ludicrously commercialised and that sponsors are now mainly coming from the Far east where they are very very business minded and want a high profile, but a draw at 11.15am China time seems to just about sum up how bizarre this sponsorship is. Are they daft? It alienates everyone as it doesn't give us (the 'E' stands for England I think?!) a chance to watch it live and is 11.15am really a great local time to get press coverage?
re marco - been listening to both interviews, before and after the game. Before the game he has no idea when the draw is being made, and when he's told they express surprise / joke about it and that he won't be staying up for it. Cue post match interview and he's already seemingly booked on a flight to China, arriving 1 hr before the draw. it has disaster written all over it Loads of planes arrive late, customs, visa, intimate body searches... Then massive jet lag and days out of his schedule to sit in a chair for 5 minutes and watch us get drawn away to Doncaster Rovers...
Just about sums football up at the moment as well. why not give £2,000 to a local football team instead of flying our Asst Mgr out for a 2 minute draw? Obviously they won't do that as they don't actually care about grass roots football or even smaller FL clubs.

ELF? Was that a sh**ty early 90s band from the forest? Uh huh..uh huh...uh..huh
is that a KLF impression or an EMF impression?
I was thinking of the latter . KLF were immense.
